A useful tool for 5mm bleed screws
I should say up front that this wrench is too big for my 4mm radiator bleed valves. However, it is just right for our 5mm thermostat stems. The latter need regular annual maintenance or they tend to seize up. So every autumn I have to go round the 17 radiators with an adjustable wrench and some lubricant to work them loose and ensure they stay loose until next year. This wrench is a perfect fit and has just made that job a whole lot quicker and easier.I knew what I was doing and what I wanted this wrench for. For me it is perfect. However, for you, you just need to make sure it is the right size. That being so it works well. The radiators in my daughters new flat are equipped with 5mm bleed valves and this worked perfectly on those. In my opinion this is a little on the pricey side but it is strong and well made and gives good leverage. If this wrench suits your needs, (as it did mine), then I would still recommend it.

Doesn’t fit standard radiators in the uk !
Said it fitted standard uk rads but does not due to it being too bulky. Hole is the right size but will not fit into the corresponding gap around the bleed screw !

Not a ratchet

Does the job on most radiators
We have a key tool that we keep to bleed the radiators, but wanted a spare. This one is stainless steel and seems sturdy enough. It says it fits all standard radiators and it does fit most of ours, but there are 2 that it doesn't fit for some reason, as they aren't strange radiators. The only issue, apart from that is that although the longer handle (it's about 7 cm) is not as hard on the hands or wrists to use as the key type, is that a couple of our rads are on in tight spots and close to the wall and you can't get the leverage on this because of the length of the handle. It's also quite expensive in comparison to most of the key type ones.Still, it's good to have a back-up.
