Well Earned Five Stars
Joe Maneely was a phenomenal artist who put into his work displayed here in this immaculately crafted book such detail and passion in each illustration. A lot of the stories featured are quick to read but nonetheless hang onto you after you’ve set the book down, but to be honest I’ve not yet been able to put this book down!

Maneely the long forgotten Michelangelo of Atlas
Do yourself a favor and purchase this book. Printed media is dead? Nothing compares to seeing Joe’s artwork masterfully restored on these white pages. Simply beautiful work from a bygone area.

Great sampler of an extraordinary artist
Joe Maneely, a superbly talented and versatile comic artist, was a mainstay of Marvel precursor Atlas Comics. Sadly, he died far too soon in a tragic accident. This collection traces his Atlas career (he worked for other companies as well), and smartly does it in chronological order, letting the reader trace his artistic development and his versatility. These stories, in many genres (westerns, suspense, war, even humor) are lovingly restored for this edition. Dr. Michael Vasallo, the pre-eminent Maneely scholar, pens the biographical introduction and appreciation. A valuable contribution to comics history, it earns my highest recommendation!

I got this for the Black knight and the Yellow Claw
This artist should have lived longer. In his short life he was an excellent artist. If he had lived longer he would have been a Marvel star.
