From a short story by Virgin Suicides writer Jeffrey Eugenides comes a comedy about a middle-aged woman (Jennifer Aniston) who takes conceiving a child into her own hands by using a turkey baster to inseminate herself with a sample of a married friend's (Jason Bateman) sperm. Blades of Glory's Josh Gordon and Will Speck direct this film from a script by Allan Loeb. With wonderful performances and wry wit, the dynamic between Wally and Sebastian is a joy to behold. Combined with the ever popular charms of Aniston, this is a sweet and uplifting rom-com guaranteed to warm your heart. A great rom-com for grown ups, with ‘About a Boy’ appeal for the lads.

The Switch
I loved this movie and so did all of my family never before have we laught so much, tears in my eye'severy one wanting to see it again. So far we have seen it 12 times not in a row but weekends. The Switch was surprising as well as wonderful to watch, as a family movie. It may well not suit every onesTaste but then every one is not like my family, so i say their loss.I could talk about the people involed with the movie it self but, I am not that kind of reviewer. I tell itHow it is and thats the way it should be. All these crack pots who go on about the director, produeser, rightersand so on and so on. Have no real love of any movies what so ever they just love to dig in and drag it down.Well shame on you all of you. Let the people jugde for them selfs. So message to every one else, see it, love it and enjoy it. And if you don't just don't buy it.

Plenty of `Rom,' not so much `Com.'
Even though I'm a guy, I'm not immune to the odd romantic comedy - if it's got something decent to offer.Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman are both likeable leads who have a decent pedigree of humorous films on their C.V.s, so I thought, `Why not?'Yes, they're good and yes, they have reasonable charisma throughout the film and yes at the end of the ninety minutes you do feel reasonably warm and fuzzy inside. The only thing I found was that there weren't that many laughs along the way. There was a fair amount of romance and some character development, plus adequate dilemmas for them to strive through - I just thought that it would be funnier. Maybe it's my sense of humour, but I just didn't find it funny. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it. The best character bond was actually between Jason Bateman and the young boy `Sebastian' - the element that made the film worth watching.A worthwhile way to kill an hour and a half - not so much a `Rom Com' as a `Rom Drama' in my opinion.

Switch
This is a charming story with a great deal of humour . Jason Bateman & Jennifer Aniston have great chemistry and are really appealing leads, I caught this film on TV and liked it enough to buy the DVD. The switch in question is sperm- the result is an adorable but solemn little boy [Thomas Robinson] who worries about everything. Add Jeff Goldblum to the mix and you have a heartwarming feel good movie. It sounds corny- it isn't- Switch delivers truthful performances- Jennifer Aniston has never been better- this is a grown up performance. Jason Bateman allows his character to mature as the film progresses- his relationship with the six year old replica of himself is beautifully portrayed.

Fabulous Comedy
Comedy at its best, Love the concept of the story and with marvellous actors bringing this to the movies makes this unbelievable and worth adding to the collection. A story of a woman wanting a baby and her neurotic best friend objections finds a good looking charming donor and decides to go for it. Now unbeknown to her a mishap happens and the sperm gets replaced by her objecting friend Wally who happens to donate his own special offering to the cause. Now seven years down the track a young heathy boy has shown similarity characteristics like him start to show up in his ways could it be or not. Now get settled for a fantastic night in with a fabulous movie unlike any other and enjoy!

A very different story
Its your classic romcom but with a difference!Whilst being funny and heartwarming its got a very individual story line that ive never heard of before - the whole idea of switching sperm and accidently impregnating your best friend! But I shant go into too many more details as I dont want to spoil it!Saw this in the cinema and loved it, so it was a must buy and I definitley recommend it as its kinda guy friendly too as I went to see it with a guy and they found it hilarious, showing not all romcoms have to be all soppy and lovey dovey the whole way through :)

Entertaining and amusing
I really enjoyed this film! I'm not going to add a resume as that has been done. I'll just say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The acting is good and the little boy is sooooo cute! It is funny and heartwarming - really a feel-good film.

This is soooooo funny
I like Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman and I liked this movie very much, what a laugh. I liked how Jason got drunk and switched something for his and could not remember doing it, it is a few years later when he then discovers what he had done. I would tell anyone to see this movie, it is really funny. I watched this with my mum and a friend and we were all in stitches.
