IRWIN VISE-GRIP Multi-Tool Wire Stripper/Crimper/Cutter, 2078309, 8-inch

Used these for stripping some solid core and strand core copper wire and in both cases worked perfectly. Definitely 100% better than using some pliers and "mostly chewing through" the outer shielding hoping for a clean strip. Very easy to use and use the correct size hole for the correct wire size works perfectly every time. Definitely a must have for those doing some DIY electrical work around the house

Sturdy. Well made. Good tool for the job

Use it to for small circuitry and stripping/cutting and wiring 18/20 gauge wires. Good with 10 gauge too other cheap brands tend to take strips of wire along with the outer casing, not Irwin. The cutter is razor sharp and seems it will last a very long time before going blunt. Grip is good for my hands you can get some real pressure when crimping.My only minor gripe is for a more flatter area on both sides of the insulation crimping zones so i can use it to secure connectors instead of relying on the pliers at the head of the tool.Overall a must and very handy tool in your toolbox.

I saw these on a video & was considering an automatic pair, anyway I saw to many negative comments/reviews. This is a good option until they get over the design issues.

Purchased to shorten length of door knobs. Worked perfectly cutting through metal while leaving the thread intact.

Used the cutter section literally 2-3 times on 1.5mm and 2.5mm copper and it has started chipping and it’s not very sharp. However, the other little parts of it are useful.
