Bought for a friend for Christmas, we'd seen drinking horns at a market but hugely overpriced and he was a bit disappointedat the time. Being able to surprise with this later was brilliant, he actually thought it was better than what we had seen and the fact that it was a whole set and in a bag was so special.It's such a well-thought out set, nicely put together and with proper, clear care instructions to make sure you can look after it.Really pleased.

I have a collection of Viking books and memorabilia and was missing the vital piece. I couldn't bring myself, when in Iceland, to lay the extraordinary prices for a drinking horn there. Instead, I purchased from Fenrir. The quality is incredible, the value superb. It sits proudly alongside my Norse collection and I couldn't be happier.

Excellent gift for hubby's birthday, looks really good.

I really like the product which i bought as a gift. I just wished the colours matched. The shot glass was dark like in the picture and you could clearly see the design. However the tankard was very light and you can barely see the design that is engraved on it which is disappointing. As a gift it is presented well and comes in a nice satin gift bag.

Partner loved this, but after several washes it started to peel. So now it’s an ornament.

Overall, I think this is a nice set. You get a well-made stand, 5 small horns, 5 coasters, and a pretty nice Thor-themed bottle opener, all with a nice gift bag. Everything looks great, and several of the pieces feel really durable. This would be a nice decorative or collector's item for sure. It's the everyday usage that might not work so well though.Of the 5 horns, 2 were really hefty and felt premium. One was close to that but a little lighter, and then 2 were way off. They were really light-weight, and have oval openings instead of the round ones the heavier ones feature. On top of that, one is so small that it slips right through the hole in the stand, making it useless. I tried every hole, and it slid through them all. I found that I could spin it backwards to make it fit, where the point of the horn rests against the bottle. I might try a rubber band next so they all face the same direction. That was a pretty easy thing to correct, so I am guessing these aren't hand-made. Someone would have seen the flaw.The coasters are nice, but they're for your other glasses. It might have been cool to turn them into mini horn stands, but as it is, they are just a bonus gift. Likewise with the bottle opener. I love the detail on Thor's hammer, and it is really heavy. I think it's easily the best part of this set. It is Marvel themed, so I'm surprised they could sell it so closely related to the other property. I get that old mead was related to beer, but other mead is closer to wine, and people into Viking stuff often want something stronger than wine. This makes the bottle opener also seem out of place, as there are few beer bottles that can hold the whole set up.Another issue is the practicality. If you intend to use the bottle you're using to hold the stand, you have to remove the stand every time you want to pour more. That's why I featured it with an empty bottle in my photos. It's more practical to use a second bottle.Taken individually, there are several nice items here. Taken together, you get quite a lot for the money, even if it doesn't make sense to put them together. Add the flaws I mentioned in cutting out the holes, and your mileage really may vary. I saw at least one other review with the same problem, so I'm guessing this is common.I'd definitely be comfortable recommending it overall as a decorative item, or even splitting it for parts - the bottle opener was the best as I mentioned earlier. As for regular use, I'm a little more reserved. It may or may not work for you.

My son and stepsons loved it. Never expected this gift! Not gaudy looking, great quality. Easy to hold. I'd buy more. Excellent quality. You can tell it wasn't made from plastic or a mold.
