Very good quality fiber glass rods, **just needed the length ordered…
For the price the KastKing Progressive Glass Fishing Rods are excellent. They have a good look and finish due to materials used to put the rods together. Along with the good quality workmanship the fishing rods are an exceptional value purchase. Looking forward to use in light line applications.**4/19/23 Update - Amazon did an excellent return/exchange/shipping of replacement rods in the correct 7’6” length I originally ordered. Changed my rating from four to five stars.Four Star review because I did not receive the actual rod in the length I ordered. Ordered three 7’6” spinning rods and received three 7’0” spinning rods. The packaging sticker on the black KastKing shipping tube had a sticker with the correct information for the 7’6” rod, but all three rods inside the tubes were 7’0” and not the 7’6” length that I needed & ordered. Will try to exchange for the correct length because I believe these fiber glass rods will be great for lighter line applications with lures and bait fishing. Also ordered the rod in the 8’0” spinning rod length and will be keeping it as was the correct item and length. Note: Have used mostly Ugly Stik rods throughout my years of fishing and wanted to try other brands to be used for pier fishing to surf fishing along the Los Angeles area beaches. Will be pairing these new rods with 3000 and 4000 size reels from Penn, Daiwa, Quantum, and Pflueger. Want to use in light line surf fishing for barred surf perch using sand crabs as bait and for 1/2 ounce Yo-Zuri floating lure fishing for halibut. Will update review after a few surf fishing sessions.

Great value
If you’re looking for a rod to fish lightweight lures, and need the sensitivity that graphite offers, fiberglass is inferior, BUT if you need a rod for topwater, crankbait, spinnerbait, or just bait, this is a good value. While I wouldn’t think about putting one of my graphite rods in the bed of the truck, fiberglass is much tougher, and replacement cost is 25% of modestly priced graphite rods. This is my 2nd, have a med/hvy 8’ paired to a 5000 spinner for Red Snapper, and a Medium with a 3000 series spinner for inshore. Very happy with both.

Gave it one more shot!!! Terrible Product!!!
Well I gave them one more shot and got and I'm kicking myself. Bought two rods for a Florida trip and they performed well. Got home decided to go to my local lake and went to set the hook on a decent fish and POP! I take care of my stuff so I don't want to hear the crap that oh it got caught in a door or tail gate. I don't want to hear oh well you must have high sticked it. Nope you would be wrong. The break happen closer to the handle under the ferrule. I have built rods and this is another cheap blank. Now I didn't expect the best but I also didn't expect it to snap. Once I got back to the car I took these pics. See the pics for yourself! All of their rods are terrible!! Hence why they are always on sale!!!Update 6/24/2023: Kast King reached out to warranty the product and the new product was received. The black tube they ship them in was undamaged. In fact I have all three tubes and each tube is in perfect condition. Got the replacement rod rigged up casted once, everything was fine. Went to make a second cast and it snapped, this time above the ferrule. I was casting a small strike King spinner bait 1/2 oz. Well within spec for the rod. First let me say that they stood by their product and sent me a replacement, and did not ask me to adjust my review at all. They gave me a choice between a refund or a new rod. I chose the rod! So kudos to customer service. Now my issue is there is no one testing these blanks before they are shipped out. When I build a rod I test it after it has been wrapped. You can see in one of my pics a rod I'm in the process of building. So I have some idea of what's going on. You can see in the pics other Kast King products so I'm not bashing them as a whole. These rods need better quality control...it doesn't take long to test a blank\completed rod before shipping it to the customer. In my pics you can see the replacement rod with one of the original rods that is still working fine so it is possible to get a good one, BUT...this is unacceptable! I let the customer service representative know as soon as it happened so I will update once I have more info. As for now the review will remain a 1 star.Update 7/6/2023: I'll keep it short...Kastking had their rod specialist contact me to go through the issues I was having. He determined that the damage could have happened during the packing process or in transit. I retained all of the rod tubes the rods were sent in. Each tube is in perfect condition. Each rod had no visible damage on the rod blank. He determined the damage was not my fault and authorized that I received another rod. I just tested the replacement rod and it worked just fine. Because of the customer service and their willingness to make things right I am increasing my rating. I still do not believe this deserves 5 stars however I do believe that the customer service experience makes up for the difference in rating. Remember, I did not reach out to them, they emailed me and offered a solution. I am satisfied by this solution.

new favorite rod
Love the cork handles, very comfortable. the color is a very nice navy blue, not flashy at all. pairs really nice with a size 3000 reel and really like the tube it came in, defintely saving it for when i need to travel with it. action is great and handles fish well

Rod was excellent.
Bought the 7' medium rod for inshore fishing paired with a 3000 rekon reel. The rod casts great and the action for a glass rod is excellent. Caught over 40 speckled trout with it from 14 to 25 inches. The rod was used all day casting a 1/8 doa jig with a rapala crush city mayor 3in. It performed it's job admirable. Will definitely recommend to anyone that needs or wants a glass rod for their application, it was fairly sensitive and had plenty of backbone to control the fish.

Broke while spooling!!
Im a pretty avid fisherman to say the least. Ive had my share of good & bad purchases over the yrs with various products & this is my 1st time ever writing a review. Anyhow, yesterday, i finally got the rod our of the tube & got it paired up w a reel. Tube packaging was impressive. The rod,I figd would do OK for trout, not so sure on reds- but hey, it was cheap so-Well i got my 20lb braid set up & halfway thru the spooling i had a small line twist on the tip of the rod so i gave it a little whip under & over. (Somethin ive done on the water a thousand times). WHEN I WHIPPED IT, IT JUST BROKE RIGHT ABOVE THE REEL-2in above the "cork" handle!! No stress, duress, beating, banging around, Nothing. Im telling myself it had broken during shipping- but the tube had ZERO signs of that.Decided to read some reviews & said wow, maybe the rod itself is Just a piece of crap in general. Life goes on. But i had to share that one. Wow. For context: I Been doing this my whole life. Im the guy with 40 rigs on the ceiling & 25each on 2 walls. Some nice$$ some not- nvr had this happen- Ill leave it at that.
