Love these!!! A great toy that works for multiple ages and stages! All four of my children, 1-8 yrs age range, will sit and play together with this toy for long periods of time. I love that it has multiple functions- great for practicing the motor skills involved with threading the beads, as well as creating different patterns. my older kids even use the different pieces for imaginative play- they tied a bead to the end of a string and have been “fishing” off the edge of their bed multiple times- catching all different colors of fish 😂. The beads themselves are sturdy and make great stacking toys. Building towers and sorting colors or shapes- so many fun things to do with this toy! Also, huge bonus that the blocks are big enough not to have to worry about choking hazards with the smaller ones. Also, if your children tend to throw their toys sometimes it is another added bonus that these are not wood because it doesn’t hurt others or your walls/furniture. I would definitely recommend these or give them as a gift!

I love that my 2 year-old can refine her fine motor skills and I don’t have to worry about her choking on a bead cause they’re big and chunky with a big hole for her to push the string through. My 4 year old enjoys making the beads into patterns on the string and making them into necklaces for her stuffed animals. This is a great learning toy for teaching shapes, colors, patterns, fine motor skills and patience. A great toy for quiet time, too.

Purchased for 2 year old and they are the perfect size for her hand. They are chunky and durable. Love the storage bag. She even likes putting them in and out of the bag. We make up different games by color and shape. It is a lasting toy.

My grandson who is about 22 months picks the beads to play with when he gets home from daycare. It is one of his favorite things. It is great that there is a storage bag. The bead colors are vibrant. They stack nicely for little fingers. I wish that the strings - which are like shoestrings, had a little longer stiff end to put through the bead. But I'm sure that will come. They are a good value!

I love the size, colors and shapes and that they are washable. I was disappointed that the plastic tips on the laces where so short. They should be at least as long as the longest bead for little hands. I had to wrap masking tape around the lace very tightly to make it a successful activity for my 3 year old. Different length laces would be more manageable for young ones, also. Once I adjusted the tips and cut the laces, my child mastered the skill easily and loves playing with the beads.

Good size beads for small child but hard to string for a two and a half year old

We got this toy this week and my kids love playing with it! My 6-year-old makes necklaces for the entire family while my 3-year-old stacks and sorts the blocks. The younger one has had a hard time learning shapes' names (apparently triangles and squares are "HEXAGONS"), so this set has made it easy to teach her the differences while she's happily entertained. I like that the holes are large enough to make threading easy for both of my kiddos and that the block are big enough that they're easy to stack. It's also fun to tie multiple strings together and make a MEGA necklace..or at least my kids thought that was cool.

I really liked this product, I did expect them to be wooden as most Montessori tools are but they are a hard plastic. This actually makes them easier to clean and lighter in weight so when my child wears it as a necklace it's not too heavy. However if you have younger children around be mindful, they are 3+ and a choking hazard. The oval and sphere fit perfectly into my 13month olds mouth.
