Q: How many will I need for growing cannabis during flowering,? I have 7 plants

Usually one bulb is ok for one plant flowering. For canabis plant flowering, we suggest 2pcs 660nm bulbs for single plant, both side place one bulb besides the plant. Totally 14pcs bulbs may be required for 7 plants. Because 660nm light is the exact spectrum and important for canabis flowering. Hope it's helpful for you. Thanks.

Q: Can i combine 4 to 5 of these bulbs in a multi led splitter, or would i have to worry about overheating due to them being so close together?

Over heating is a real issue. I found that if I suspended them vertically the heat goes right up into the electronics. I have had better luck putting them at a 45 degree angle. That way the heat is directed away from the circuit board. How close together you can mount them is a good question. I burnt out three before I figured out what I think is the issue. You can tell when they go bad because they start flickering and they won't stay on.
