    Not really "waterproof, but good enough

Waterproof to me means "impervious to water". This... is paper. Paper isn't impervious to water. ;)But used in conjunction with a grease pen/china marker, it works well. It's "water resistant" really. Catch this thing in a downpour and I doubt it will survive, but writing in damp/drizzly environments I think it will do fine.Pens and pencils write well on it too, but I haven't tried using either while wet.It's a good sized pad to keep in my search & rescue pack.

    Great for Swimming Workouts

I use this notebook for my swimming workouts. I write the workout in the notebook, and then set the notebook at the edge of the pool. By the end of my swim, the notebook is totally soaked. But the writing (pencil) doesn't smudge, the pages dry on their own, and by the next day it's almost like the paper never saw water in the first place. This really solved the problem of having to memorize my workouts!
