Excellent quality. Ivory melamine almost looks vintage. Nicely engraved and painted in black, green, red. Large easy-read characters, great for low-vision players - but no English letters/numbers, so this may not be the best set for novice players. Very large, heavy tiles are pleasing to hold and make a great sound when mixed. The whole set is very heavy, about 17 lbs, so it's not very portable or even easy to lift and carry from cabinet to table. Does not come with any case, but is well packaged in a Styrofoam form inside a sturdy cardboard box; not fancy enough for a gift, but will do for storage (and it needs room to store, it's a big box). I'll be looking for a nice wooden chest to keep this beautiful set in. All that being said, I chose this set for size, weight and readability of the tiles and I am extremely pleased overall. It is a pleasure to play with them!

Just what it says on the tin.These tiles are very large and dense.Great if you've got a kitchen table with a table cloth to play on and like the extra weight. Probably great for people with limited coordination or eyesight.Not great if you've got space constraints or like handling the blocks with finesse. Lifting a row of 14 at a time is a challenge, 17 is impossible. Single tiles can't be flipped without picking the whole tile up. The size makes clean up and shuffling slightly slower.Quality:Stand up and stack just fine44mm exactlyA few tiles have been dropped on a tile floor and didn't chip so they're probably durable.The paint goes over the edge of the engraving here and there. Not enough to look sloppy, just minor imperfections.Comes with 2 dice, 2 blank tiles, canvas carry bag.Overall I'm quite happy.
