Nasal breathing: improve your health and fitness
Brilliant book I only wish I had picked this up as a young man. For years I had suffered from chronic mouth breathing, over breathing etc it bewildered me for years why me and my brother had such crooked teeth when our parents and grandparents had such great teeth and broad faces. I also used to exercise several times a week as a young man intensely and produced a crap load of mucus in my chest and my endurance would hardly ever improve. patrick not only explains the science of nasal breathing against mouth breathing in great detail but also provides a plan tailored for you to increase your BOLT score according to Your current fitness level. After a few days of trying the breathe light to breathe right and the decongestant exercises I felt immeadiate benefits, no longer did I wake up with a stuffy nose and dry mouth I became a lot calmer around the workplace and less easily fatigued. It doesn’t matter how much you train or even your diet, if you don’t know how to breath or control your breath your handicapping yourself. Do yourself favour and pick it up

Helped me improve my health overall by following the exercises
Although the exercises are simple, they are powerful and can improve your health dramatically, especially if you're someone who suffers from stress/anxiety and therefore have poor breathing habits.A worthwhile read.

Has its place. Useful.
Limited. Nasal breath, breath holds after an exhale, reduce breathing, tape mouth whilst sleeping and the science behind it. Could have been much, much shorter. A good text on coherent breathing is Coherent Breathing by Wilfried Ehrmann, forwarded by Stephen Elliot. For a very stunning broader look at the mechanics is " Breathe" by Dr Belisa Vranich PsyD. An extremely well written comprehensive guide to all breathing muscles, lungs and how to improve their function.

learnt a lot
I just didnt know what a difference breathing through the nose exclusively can make. Only been using the breathing practice a few days but it is already making an improvement in sleeping and unblocking my nose. The book is way more than you need for just health improvements it is also for performance athletes but you dont need to read all of it before you can start to practice and improve your health and well being
