I was easily able to repair my son's ball glove. Looks like new.

One lace restrung the entire web. Comes with two, so plenty for small baseball glove repairs. Easy to follow directions.

I would buy again from this supplier (Covey). Leather is very good and will restring my daughters softball mitt. I did have questions from Covey and response time was very quick. Customer service was awesome and my question was addressed and answered. Would Recommend and if I need anything else I will go back to them for future purchases.

I paid $16 for this in October 2023 for re-lacing a glove. This wouldn't be my first time re-lacing, but first time using this tool. I didn't pay attention to the included instructions because I was a know-it-all!Anyway, I really should have read it to save myself about 15 minutes of aggravation, because it clearly says in step #4 "push your chosen lacing tool through the hole first & pull the lace through the hole." Before reading the instructions, I was trying to lace the tool and then push the tool+lace through the existing holes.The key here is you need to PUSH the tool (no lace) through the hole in the glove, put the lace in the tool, and then PULL the tool+lace back through the same hole. If you follow the instructions, and you otherwise know what you're doing, you will be able to get your glove re-done.I included some photos to show how it's done.I only re-laced the fingers and so have plenty of lace leftover.

The threading tool is essential, made re-lacing the glove very easy, could not do it without that type of instrument

This lacer is a bit more time consuming to use than the one that the lace twists into. With this one, the lace needs laced through the lacer, pushed through the glove, taken out of the lacer, then relaced through the lacer, pushed through the glove, repeat. This makes the job way too time consuming and tedious. If you're getting only one kit, get the one with the twist on lacer.Both the leather lace and the lacer are good quality, but this lacer is a solid 'no' for convenience.

I was using the lace that came with threading needle and discovered the coating on the needle doesn’t allow for the lace to fit through the needle. They put too much coating on the eye where the lace threads through and it is therefore useless. Poor quality control…would not suggest buying.
