I recently purchased the MSI Optix MAG162V Portable Gaming IPS Monitor and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. As a gamer and someone who works in the gaming industry, I need a monitor that can handle both my gaming and work needs, and this one definitely delivers.However, the monitor isn't as bright as I would have liked, which can be a bit of a drawback in certain lighting conditions. To give you an idea of the brightness, I've attached an image to display the brightness in comparison to my M1 MacBook Pro, both have the same item up on the screen. Despite this, I was pleased to find that the screen is very responsive, with minimal lag during gameplay.The IPS display provides good color reproduction and decent viewing angles, making it a pleasure to use for both gaming and work. I recommended this monitor to a colleague of mine who also purchased it and had a positive experience. Its portable design is also a huge plus, allowing me to easily take it with me wherever I go.My only minor complaint is that the settings don't always save when I unplug and replug it in. However, this is a small inconvenience that doesn't detract from the overall quality of the product.Overall, I highly recommend the MSI Optix MAG162V Portable Gaming IPS Monitor for anyone who needs a high-quality, responsive, and portable monitor for gaming or work.

A factory sealed and had some drops like dirt. Fortunately a wet wipe later there wasn’t any trace left and the screen came without a scratch. That’s the reason it gets 4 stars as those drops were after opening every factory seal possible(sticker, nylon, bag and case) 4 untampered sealing. And I love how well protected was in all the boxes if we don’t count the drops on it. Remember all settings in a bag(haven’t tested more than day as use it all the time) every time I take it out brightness and volume are as I left it.

Decent monitor except from the fact that they mislead you saying the monitor is 23.8’ however upon measuring it is around 21.5’ . Which u less i’m missing something not too sure why this is something they seller would lie about?

The 65w output from the screen works great and the ability to use a type C connector for display and charging leaves a really clean desk setup. very happy with this purchase

Great build quality, easy to use.The case is a bit fiddly but i have used double sided tape to attach the rear part and now its very easy to use the case/stand.Monitor unfortunately has a dead pixel but amazon helped with this.Besides that and the very rare pixel issue its a great monitor and recommend.

Firstly, if you connect to it with any USB-C cable you happen to have lying around, it may not work - as I found out. You need to use the one it came with or another that definitely supports video. It seems very well made, with a glossy screen and a slim metal case that somewhat resembles an ipad in design style. My Macbook M1 Air connected to it immediately. I had to change the Macbook’s external display setting to FHD, but only once. Thereafter the resolution on the external monitor has been correct when restarting. The picture is great, although the screen isn’t super bright. It’s 250 nits, and my expensive desktop monitors are 350 nits. However, I run those at 60% brightness in a brightly daylit room, and I’ve got this MSi monitor at 80% in similar conditions - it’s fine. The bendy plastic ‘smartcase’ is OK as both a protective case and a stand, but it isn’t the easiest thing to use and I doubt it will last as long as the monitor, but that’s not a big deal. The sound is pretty basic, but I wasn’t expecting rich surround sound. It’s noticeably less good than the sound even from my little MacBook, but it would just about do for watching TV or a conference call. Overall, it seems an excellent and good value choice for what I wanted - an easily portable second monitor for working when away from home.

What can I say? Its excellent. Great quality screen, decent size, though I prefer to power it with its own usb-c power supply

The picture and colours are very acceptable. I like the fact that is non flickering so feels comfortable for eyes. Can be positioned vertically. Would buy again!
