totally useless as a baby monitor, only records 'alerts' (triggered by noise or motion) which means that every time you enter the baby's room during the day you get an alert. By the evening, when you actually need to be notified if your baby is crying, you have used up your 25 daily alerts.The only (cumbersome) solution given by the Izon support was to manually switch on and off the alerts every evening/morning. Meaning that if you forgot to switch it on you will not be notified that your baby is crying.

A great little gadget. Neat & unobtrusive.Very easy to set up through its own app. Many potential uses including keeping an eye on your pet and baby monitor

I bought this camera to have a tool to monitor my baby activity when he is on bed. There is something which is insane from my point of view. IZON has a limitation of 25 notifications per day!! When you reach this limit, you can just use the camera on manual mode (time to time you have to check if everything is ok for your baby). They didn’t mention this anywhere. Otherwise the color quality is not very good (blue color became a sort of pink?!!).Honestly, I do not recommend this camera!

Yes, it's fiddly to setup until you get used to it. Secret is to log on to the same wifi with your smartphone and make sure it is in a good strength wifi area. It didn't like some WiFis - e.g. couldn't get it to work on 5GHz and a couple of others. Works fine on one of my networks so I've left it at that. Can waste a lot of time until you decide to give up and try another network. Tricky if you've only got one and you're unlucky.Motion sensing works ok. Sound is very sensitive. Apart from problem above, am happy with it.

Amazing piece of kit and so easy to set up. We have 4 cameras now in our house and they all work fine.

Stopped working after a couple of weeks. I bought a pack of two of these after having a couple of the original ones which I was happy with. They were difficult to set up but eventually succeeded. One stopped working after a couple of weeks and despite many email exchanges to Stem Innovation about resetting which I tried many times it would not work. The manufacturer concluded that I needed it replacing. When they found out I had bought this off Amazon they did not want to know as they would only cover purchases from them or the likes of Apple!!! I have contacted the seller and hope it is resolved by them or by Amazon. However a good product but more reliability needed along with a better attitude from the manufacturer. This is their email: " Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, retailers selling Stem Innovation products on Amazon.com and other online discount retail sites are not authorized retailers for our products. We have found as a result of other customers contacting us, that the unauthorized retailers are selling products we have discontinued, products which are broken or damaged, and products which are out of warranty. We don't know how those unauthorized retailers have acquired the products, and at this point we can only recommend you contact the retailer to seek a refund.In the future, to ensure you are purchasing quality Stem products covered by our warranty, we strongly suggest that you only purchase current Stem Innovation products directly thru Stem's website ([...]), or thru authorized retailers such as Apple and other select Apple Premium Retailers.

The photo of this item is misleading. You do not receive the item in the photo but the older model izon. Be warned.

They don't work, they go offline more frequently than they are on line. So that makes them ineffective as security cameras. The other alarming issue no pun intended as you get a maximum number of alerts per day. Something in the order of 25 again absolutely useless. I live beside a busy road so it triggered to the max very quickly.A real waste of money. This was the third one, the other rep from Apple Nd they have been returned.
