Check the measurements
Check the measurements. unfortunately I didn't think to do that because I thought everybody grew avocado pits in a glass but this is much bigger than any normal size glass. It's my fault for not checking the measurements ...just so you know it is 3 1/2 inches wide which is much bigger than any glass so while it's cute you will have to spend money on something that it will fit in or use a bowl.

Worked perfectly for my avocado seed
I started my avocado seed with the standard toothpicks and a glass of water. It's been growing for 2 months and it finally has some leaves. Unfortunately I have to be out of town for several weeks and this little ring buoy looked like exactly what I needed. I left my seed floating in a milk carton full of water! I will try and update my review when I get back as to whether it worked or not. But I think it will!

Great gift.
We exchange WHAT IS IT gifts at Christmas with friends. This was perfect. Within price limit, has to be something you would use. Our friends never figured it out. First time we won in years!

Great invention!
I’ve been wanting one of these forever! I finally pulled the trigger and have a seed sitting in water now :) I love gardening so I’m super excited to be able to grow an avocado! Make sure you clean the seed good or it will not stay in place.

Don’t waste your money!
Don’t waste your money, use the tried and true toothpick method. I was delighted to see that this would be the alternative to using toothpicks to root an avacodo seed! Unfortunately try as I may, I couldn’t get the seed to stay in the little ring. No matter what or how I got the seed into the ring it would pop out after a few minutes. I eventually went back to the old tried and true “toothpick “ method...what a rip off and a waste of money!

So cute and functional
This is so cute!!! I tried other similar things like a boat but it tipped over. I was concerned this would do the same because the seed oils bigger. It didn’t tip and it works perfect. Is so cute bobbing in the water.
