Almost perfect saw
I'll just start by saying that the difference in this saw and one that might be $100-200 less is unbelievable. This saw is absolutely worth every penny if you need a quality table saw. The assembly was straight forward, but I will say that you may need to look at the pictures if you are not familiar with how folding tables work. I am and I had to adjust the bolts a little to get them properly installed. None the less I didn't buy it for assembly instructions, I bought it to cut wood. It cuts very well and the metal fence is worth it's weight in gold because it can guide a board to make a 1/8 inch cut for 8 feet with no issue. I've included a photo of a cut made. It has near furniture quality cuts on plain pine. The blade height adjustment is the only thing that I would change as it didn't have a height lock. This can me important for someone using for dado type cuts. It stays put fairly well, but there is just a little play in the adjuster. The fence has dual metal gears and while you can move it by hand I found using the dial makes sure that they are parallel to the blade. The difference between the saw and the SPT99-12 and the SPT99-11 is the Diablo Blade and I can't seem to find the 12 anywhere. The skill blade that comes with the 11 is still a great blade. It makes furniture grade cuts. The saw is easy to manipulate and move around with the large wheels. It makes pulling over a rough terrain or curbs simple as a job site saw should be. The front feet keep it in position while working and the sawdust shoot has the ability to angle exhaust or connector for shop vacuum. The worm drive is the most impressive and important part of this saw. The noise level is significantly lower than my other craftsman saw and the power is so much better. There's no play in the blade for it walk on cuts. It's a true professional experience. Other details I like are the safety switch which requires deliberately pressing the recessed on switch and easy off you can tap off. So it comes in right at 100 lb and it's manageable for one person to load in or out of a truck. Overall, this is a truly functional saw that will provide a great service life and I am extremely happy with the purchase

Outstanding table saw
Bought this saw to replace/upgrade a 10" table top Skil saw I had for 12 years and now passing on to my son. This saw is a huge upgrade over my previous saw with a sturdy stand that sets up, folds, and moves easily and the table is at a perfect height for me who is over 6' tall. Very well built saw that stores all of the attachments for the saw and I recommend adding the rear material support bar to it which I have done. I like that the stand the saw sits on when folded up becomes an additional material support bar on the left side of the table when the saw is set up. The saw has excellent dust collection on it own, but using a shop vac makes it close to being dustless. Love the rack and pinon fence feature which is easy to set, lock, and is accurate. The saw has plenty of power and can rip a 4x4 in one pass. The saw was in perfect alignment right out of the box. You'll probably want to upgrade the factory saw blade as it is for rough carpentry work. I also got the Dado insert plate which FYI, Amazon does not sell at the time I bought this saw.

Bought this to replace my dead radial arm saw
Was finishing a rather large prefab storage shed and needed a saw to replace my nonfunctional radial arm saw. I like the mobility, it is a great plus and it has plenty of power. Owners manual is quite extensive and gives very clear instructions for setting up and maintaining the saw. You can download a digital copy, which I did, and had my tablet nearby referencing the manual as I setup and used the saw initially. I like the way it stows away and it is very easy to take it from the stowed condition to the ready position. If you have the room you can leave it in the ready position as it is quite easy to move around. Everything tucks into holding areas on the saw which keeps me from losing or misplacing them. A well thought out and solid saw. There are some good choices out there but I’m glad I chose the SKIL.

Excellent coontractor tablesw.
Excellent contractor tablesaw. All the parts were included and assembly was easy and took reasonable time. Blade was square to the table right out of the box and the fence took only a minor adjustment to make it parallel to the blade. I am very pleased with it

Amazing saw with one big flaw
Amazing saw with one big flaw. The allen wrench that comes with the saw is slightly undersized so when you try to loosen the blade alignment screws (which are on pretty tight), you STRIP them! I actually had to send my first saw back because all 4 screws stripped and a warranty repair was going to take a month. So Amazon took it back (because the saw has a 180 day money back guarantee!!) and bought a second one armed with the experience that allowed me to use my own allen wrench with the proper size. Skil is going to lose a lot of money because of a silly QA problem. But now that I have fixed the issue with the screws, this saw is INCREDIBLE!! Super accurate, great features like rack and pinion adjustable fence. Extremely powerful motor that allowed me to rip 2x8 pressure treated (very moist) wood like butter. It cuts up to 3-5/8" high so you can rip a 2x4 on it's longest dimension. The dust shoot collects just about every bit of dust. Best of all, the stand folds up SO easily and the large wheels go over just about anything including steps. So even with my first bad experience that required me to send the first saw back, I wanted this saw so badly I took a chance and bought it again. Now that I figured out what was wrong I hope that others are avoid the same issue with stripping the screws. I found that a 5mm hex wrench did the trick. Skil, I'd love to speak to your head of QA. You ALMOST got it perfect.
