Fantastic saw
Motor and fence were dead on accurate and table is reasonably flat right out of the box. Bevel stops and indicator required minimal and easy tweaking. Locking/unlocking the fence is a little more dramatic than I'd like, but the fence doesn't move when doing so. Fence and blade lift mechanisms are smooth. The included blade tested fine for what it is (rough cut), though I replaced it with something else immediately after. The design of the stand is mostly great, and i appreciate the left-side support it offers, but reaching the release lever with your foot can be a little awkward. The motor stops quicker than other saws I've used and the brushes spark when stopping, which was a little unnerving at first, but is apparently normal. I didn't find it particularly louder than any other saw, but I'm wearing hearing protection anyway. Overall a breeze to put together and an exceptional portable saw.

Can handle ripping harder woods.
I bought this to replace my twenty year old Bosch portable table saw after the motor seized up. Almost replaced it with a new one. It was a great saw and It did a lot of work. This worm drive Skilsaw has a few upgrades I sometimes rip oak, osage orange, purple heart and other dense woods. Even wet southern yellow pine is hard on a saw. I feel like it isn't stressed by hard woods and won't overheat the motor by the sound. The springs on the brushes of my last saw got too hot and detached from the brushes. Twice. Don't need that happening again. The large wheels, directional sawdust exhaust, and the crosscut guide locks into grooves are nice. The way the fence is gear driven is good and more accurate. I put an optional table extension attachment on it and I think it should be a standard feature, but it wasn't. Iv'e used it for a few months now and I think I made a good choice.

Bought this to replace my dead radial arm saw
Was finishing a rather large prefab storage shed and needed a saw to replace my nonfunctional radial arm saw. I like the mobility, it is a great plus and it has plenty of power. Owners manual is quite extensive and gives very clear instructions for setting up and maintaining the saw. You can download a digital copy, which I did, and had my tablet nearby referencing the manual as I setup and used the saw initially. I like the way it stows away and it is very easy to take it from the stowed condition to the ready position. If you have the room you can leave it in the ready position as it is quite easy to move around. Everything tucks into holding areas on the saw which keeps me from losing or misplacing them. A well thought out and solid saw. There are some good choices out there but I’m glad I chose the SKIL.

Great Saw Very Portable
It's on the higher price range for portable job site table saws, but this one is worm drive with tons of torque and a nice mobile stand that easily folds up. You can buy a cheaper saw, but this one seems to be a very good option for those who don't want to be replacing their tools often. This one is built to work and built to last. The assembly of the mobile base was a bit of a pain, but it can be done easier with help. The table saw itself was accurate right out of the box. No adjustments were required but there are easy adjustments options there if needed. The rack and pinion fence is smooth and easily adjusted. The miter gauge is the typical plastic with a metal runner that is of the T-style slot in the table.

Almost perfect saw
I'll just start by saying that the difference in this saw and one that might be $100-200 less is unbelievable. This saw is absolutely worth every penny if you need a quality table saw. The assembly was straight forward, but I will say that you may need to look at the pictures if you are not familiar with how folding tables work. I am and I had to adjust the bolts a little to get them properly installed. None the less I didn't buy it for assembly instructions, I bought it to cut wood. It cuts very well and the metal fence is worth it's weight in gold because it can guide a board to make a 1/8 inch cut for 8 feet with no issue. I've included a photo of a cut made. It has near furniture quality cuts on plain pine. The blade height adjustment is the only thing that I would change as it didn't have a height lock. This can me important for someone using for dado type cuts. It stays put fairly well, but there is just a little play in the adjuster. The fence has dual metal gears and while you can move it by hand I found using the dial makes sure that they are parallel to the blade. The difference between the saw and the SPT99-12 and the SPT99-11 is the Diablo Blade and I can't seem to find the 12 anywhere. The skill blade that comes with the 11 is still a great blade. It makes furniture grade cuts. The saw is easy to manipulate and move around with the large wheels. It makes pulling over a rough terrain or curbs simple as a job site saw should be. The front feet keep it in position while working and the sawdust shoot has the ability to angle exhaust or connector for shop vacuum. The worm drive is the most impressive and important part of this saw. The noise level is significantly lower than my other craftsman saw and the power is so much better. There's no play in the blade for it walk on cuts. It's a true professional experience. Other details I like are the safety switch which requires deliberately pressing the recessed on switch and easy off you can tap off. So it comes in right at 100 lb and it's manageable for one person to load in or out of a truck. Overall, this is a truly functional saw that will provide a great service life and I am extremely happy with the purchase
