Are there 4 bands to help keep the mat in place when rolled out or are they just to keep it closed? My daycare uses the blue raised beds.

The bands are just to keep it closed when rolled up. My son uses it at daycare on the blue raised beds too and it works just fine without the straps on the 4 corners.

Will this fit my 6 year old ?

Yes it will. The 7 year old I watch sleeps with it but if she gets any taller than it would be too small.

Causes harm

Wanted to love it. Looks great cute packaging BUT after a two hour nap my toddlers finger wrapped around loose thread and sliced his finger. Thread was so tight his fingernail is still bruised two weeks later. Amazon have been amazing with assisting me but just beware of this product, wanted to love it honestly, and maybe I got unlucky mine wasn’t perfect. But it caused my son a lot of pain
