Epox-It 80 is a multi-purpose high gloss clear epoxy resin. It has an easy to use 1:1 mix ratio that can be hand mixed or used with automated dispensing equipment. Product uses include: coating bar tops, coating counters, encapsulation, fiberglass laminating, making clear models, prototypes, jewelry, figurines, etc.. This is ideal resin for professional contractors, boat builders, diy homeowners, model makers, hobbyists, crafters, and taxidermists. Note: UV inhibitors have been added to the Epox-It 80 to resist yellowing better than most other epoxies. The fact is that all epoxy resins will yellow over time in direct sunlight some are better than others. Direct sunlight should be avoided to prolong the clarity of the resin. Spraying an acrylic clear coat over the casting that will be exposed to the outdoor elements is highly recommended and will add further uv protection. Product: Epox-It 80 Mix Ratio: 1:1 by volume Working Time: 45 minutes Demold Time: 24 hours Heat Deflection: 200

We love this resin. It is fast drying in our weather here in Puerto Rico. We have requested a reminder every two months. Thanks.

Not laminating epoxy
If your looking for epoxy for table tops than this will work just fine but it is not laminating epoxy. It is totally dimensionally unstable and no amount of fiberglass will fix it. It's clear bottom of the barrel epoxy for a bar top, that's it!

Easy for a first-timer
I made a rustic farmhouse table (i.e., all the mistakes I made added to the rustic-ness) and this was the first time I used any table top epoxy. I watched a few YouTube videos to get the technique down, and then started.I was very careful to level the table before pouring. And, since I was flooding the top, epoxy did flood over the sides. Protect your floor, and protect table legs and the like. It's very important to carefully measure the right about of Part A and Part B. I bought a couple of cheap mixing jugs from a paint store. I also mixed slowly and for twice as long as the directions called for. (Oh, actually, no directions came with these jugs. This is a product that either expects you to know what to do, or for you to watch videos.)I was nervous that the product would harden too quickly but that was not the case. I had plenty of time to spread around the epoxy. I used my hand (wearing a rubber glove) and gently spread out the epoxy. They say the epoxy is self-leveling, but not really. I did get some shallow areas and ripples, that were taken care of by additional layers, I put on a total of 5 layers, and the result was just beautiful.Oh, the air bubbles. Since this was my first time, I was prepared for bubbles with a propane hand torch. I must have gone over the table six to eight times for each layer, heating the bubbles until they popped. In my case, however, I was using reclaimed wood that had nail holes and wormholes, so there were a lot of places for air to be trapped. I still had bubbles appear hours later. I can't say if this product had more or fewer bubbles than other products, but I did like the price and the results.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
I love it. I'm preserving priceless objects into several deep pour projects. So I was hesitant about this product bc of the price at the quantity. I tried it, bc I'm a starving artist and it's by far the most reasonable. I'm A FAN. I WILL BE USING THIS GOING FORTH. STIR UNTIL NO BUBBLES, LET SIT AND YOU'RE GOOD TO POUR. IT HARDEN 3X FASTER THAN THE MORE EXPENSIVE EPOXY RESIN. BUY IT. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. STIR AND LET SIT UNTIL HOT. DONT GET ON SKIN. POUR OUTSIDE. HOPE THEY DONT RAISE THE PRICE BEFORE I CAN FINISH MY PROJECTS.

I think I got a bad batch…
When I initially poured this it was white. After 3 weeks it changed to a yellow tint I put a UV protection decal on my window to not get any yellow on the counter. I purchased this late February but didn’t apply till approx 3 weeks ago, since the remodeling took a lot longer than expected. I’m worried about this progression of yellowing. On the product description it shows crystal clear epoxy, I’d love to try this again because I think I got a bad batch I’m unsure how to message seller.
