This machine is very underpowered and will not stay at an angle to cut the top of hedges. Also, I had to repair it when I first tried to use it as it had been assembled in the factory correctly.

Having looked at many telescopic hedge trimmers I finally settled on the Qualcast. Overall, I am very pleased with the results and managed to cut my 30 foot garden hedge in a fraction of the time it previously took with my old cutter with having to go up ladders every few feet etc. When it is extended it is a little heavy so you will probably need to keep switching arms every few minutes but if you are sensible there shouldn't be any problems. I have to say that the strap provided does little to assist holding it. When assembling the item, with the telescopic handle do NOT try to then remove it as it a once only connection. You push the ends together and tighten the plastic locking part very tightly - it must somehow bite into the other end because you cant get it apart. For the money I would recommend it as I cant see why any more expensive item would be any better.
