Gingher Stork Embroidery Scissors and Leather Sheath - 3.5" Craft Scissors for Fabric, Thread, and Needlework Yarn Cutting - Gold

Nice scissors, with a handy little sheath - although I had expected something rather finer in quality, given that Gingher have something of a a reputation. The blades are certainly sharp (particularly the lower-shear), and tight (the action is perhaps a little over-stiff) - but my main gripe is that the are not well-matched, either in terms of the weight of blade to the tip, or their alignment. There are other bits of scruffiness - there's a nasty burr on the back end of the screw, and I feel the gilding is perhaps a little skimpy in places - and the eye-rings are a little coarsely-formed to be truly comfortable for my fingers.I collect embroidery scissors, and I have found several brands, eg Tenartis, Premax or Dovo, that produce beautiful scissors of far superior quality. I'm going to keep the Ginghers, as I wanted an exemplar for my collection, but I'm rather disappointed.
