I purchased this blanket as a baby shower gift. It was on the parents' wish list. The blanket is lovely but, although I did not mind paying the price for it, I did think that it was over priced.

I've purchased so many of these lovely blankies now for my grandchildren and finally for my husband! As a tummy warmer when he has indigestion.They are wonderfully soft and very very durable. Also have purchased the little pillows and small carry along blankies by Little Giraffe to take in the car for little ones.

Just keep it clean because it loses most of it's softness. We're on our fifth one because our daughter loves it so much.

I think I might be guilty of loving it more than my baby. Just an amazing fluffy blanket. Color amazing. But after approx my son turned 1 we don't use it as much because he out grew it in size. The blanket is too small.

This is the third blanket we've given as a gift since we were given one. Babies love them and it's a nice quality gift a lot of parent last won't spend the money on themselves. After all it is just s blanket.

Had such high hopes. I feel in love with how soft and plush the blankets were. And then after 6 months they lost all their fluffiness and matte down despite me following their recommendations to wash either by hand or gentle cycle and hang dry. I contacted the company and they took days to respond and the best they could do for me was recommend me to use a "pet brush" to help fluff it back up. I own 2 security blankets and the full size baby blanket, I am not spending any more money on these blankets or in this company. Update: attempted to contact "A Baby Boutique" company - they never responded. Amazon had to settle dispute.

On receiving this I was impressed by the way the blanket was presented, nicely wrapped and tied in a Little Giraffe ribbon complete with bow. The fabric is so soft it feels cloud like against the skin and the colour is a lovely soft shade, I would describe it as Heather but Lavender is pretty close. I wrapped mine round a 3 month old baby and she was so snuggly and warm but it will not go round her for very much longer, it will then be used as a cover because it`s only big enough for that however it is not recommended for sleeping! There is a lovely satin binding round the blanket but it does not cover the full depth of the fleece, instead of being full and soft there is a gap between the fabrics leaving it thin and perhaps vulnerable for those babies who like to hold their blanket edges. It is washable on a cold cycle, you decide if you think that would be suitable for young babies. All in all it is lovely but for the high price I would expect better quality and finishing, mine had a number of loose threads that needed snipping off before going near the child`s skin.

Little Giraffe products come with a big celebrity backing, and it is easy to see why - this blanket really is of the highest quality.Upon arrival the blanket was beautifully bundled with attractive ribbon around the outside, and as soon as my hand touched the blanket it became very clear just how high the quality was.The edges are coated with satin which is very soft, but the main body of the blanket really is something else - it is impossible to describe just how soft it really is.The first time I put it over my son at bedtime he put one hand on the blanket and pulled it over himself and quickly cuddling into it, I could tell that he was a big fan!It is worth pointing out that the dimensions of the blanket are just 74cm x 89cm, which is perfect for babies between 0-12 months; I think that beyond this it will not provide complete cover.It is very easy to be put off by the price tag of this blanket, but as a special present, or simply as a treat for your little one, this blanket is a different class.I just wish it was big enough for me!

The little Giraffe Chenille Baby blanket is really special. While somewhat pricey, it is worth it for a extra special blanket for a treasured love one. These blankets are amazingly soft and snugly. Even after washing the delicate softness remains. The blankets are well made, strong, delicately soft and have delightfully silky edges. A great gift for a young baby and a treat for the parents.

At first glance this Little Giraffe blanket is very well made and wonderfully soft. It is larger than I expected from the product description which was a nice surprise. And if I received this as a baby shower gift I would be delighted and not want to wait until I could snuggle my baby into it.On closer inspection I think the blanket has a right side and a wrong side. The right side with the Little Giraffe logo is beautifully finished and stitched. The wrong side which has the care instructions label is not as well finished - the join between the satin border and the plush is not as neat and also in places there is a narrow strip of bald fabric between the border and the plush where the plush is completely flattened. You might expect for the price that it would be expertly finished off on both sides - this is a little disappointing.But that's possibly a picky detail and if you have the money to spare this would make a lovely gift for a baby. I would consider that your £70 could buy eight or nine cellular blankets which new parents would probably find more useful, especially as the care instructions on this blanket state that it is not intended for sleepwear. However, this certainly makes a beautiful and incredibly soft (if expensive) comfort blanket.

This is incredibly soft and snuggly. It is quite small but a great comforter for babies and small children. I bought it for my grand daughter and she loves it. Only problem is keeping the cats from sleeping on it.
