Perfect edging for my handmade cutting table
My husband made me a cutting table for my sewing room. The top is a giant sheet of maple. It’s pretty but the edges were rough. I didn’t want to sand them, too much work. So, I found this and it was the perfect solution! It was easy to install. He helped me by holding the edging while I followed with my iron. Worked perfectly! The color blends like it was always there. Great price!

High quality at better than average price
Good adhesion. I suppose the only issue I had (but did not warrant a rating downgrade for me) was the color didn't look like "normal" maple edgebanding. It was somewhat darker, almost like a cross between maple and oak. But no biggie.

Great product! Use a clean plastic spreader for best results.
When I ordered this veneer, I was a bit nervous because some reviews said adhesion wasn’t great. But my experience has been that adhesion is absolutely fine. You need to use the iron to warm it up, then you have a couple of seconds to smooth it out on the surface (and move it, if needed!) before the glue cools. If it does cool, you can just warm it up again and move things around. A small plastic spreader helps a lot with the smoothing. Once it’s cold, it’s perfectly attached and looks smooth. The one downside (reason for four stars and not five) is that the birch color I bought has a bit of a gold hue, and doesn’t perfectly match actual birch wood. I think it’ll probably look good once stained, but the natural look is a little off.

Did the trick, easy to use
Used this to trim out the birch ply in our built in closet. Fit perfectly. Easy enough to use, looks nice.

Good Edge Banding - Enough for 1/2 Ply
Used this recently on some drawers for a cabinet build. I used 1/2" plywood for the drawers, so didn't need anything exotic. This worked perfectly for me. It's thin enough it's easily cut, even with scissors. I found the adhesion to be satisfactory, although I did have to go over a couple places a second time after drawer assembly. Also, the width is maybe a tad more than 1/16" wider than my 1/2" plywood sheet. I know that for banding 3/4" ply sometimes you need to club up to 1"; not here, this worked just fine for 1/2" plywood.

Thin veneer, thin adhesive.
I hate to give bad reviews, but if I can save someone frustration, then hopefully this will help.I've been a professional woodworker for 16+ years and used edgebanding for all that time. This product is very thin veneer, was advertised as maple but sure looks and behaves like brittle birch. The adhesive is thinly applied and peels up so you have to go back and reheat it and press it down and it still doesn't always stay down. There are much better options out there and you get what you pay for.

the adhesive is not strong enough
The adhesive is not strong enough and I have to apply contact glue to make sure it bond well.
