This recycle bin - which I have sitting in a hallway just outside my kitchen, is PERFECT. I've had it for about 2-3 months now and am very happy with this purchase. I had originally thought it was kinda expensive, but the quality, size, and shipping changed my mind. Recyclables piling up on the countertop. The garbage pail that came with the wooden bin is a tiny bit large, but not a problem. It fits a lot of recyclables. There is a drawer, which I use for storing garbage bags - just perfect! The color didn't match anything in my kitchen, but since I placed it in the hallway just outside the kitchen, it blends in nicely. It's way larger than I expected and not too heavy to move (I was able to pick it up myself). I read people complained about the stain smell, but it goes away in a few days. I did ask, before it was shipped, for the black knob on the drawer - to match my kitchen. They accommodated me no problem. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE.

I really like this trash bin. I use it for my recyclables. The plastic can provided is a very satisfactory size. I considered giving this item less stars because it did have a few things I didn't like at first, but when you order site unseen you take that risk. The stain was very dull, almost unfinished looking. I applied a darker stain and a satin finish and it looks really nice now. Also, the hardware that came with it was white enamel which just didn't seem to match at all, so I bought my own hardware. What bothered me the most, considering what I paid for it, was there was one little spot along the upper part of the side where the pullout door and side meet where the wood had splintered off a little, and I was really surprised it had been sent out like that. But I repaired this too with a little wood glue. Otherwise, it seems very well built and I am really happy with the end product. It is just what I wanted and it matches another piece I have in the same room very well, so all in all I'm satisfied.

The product was delivered earlier than promised. There was no damage in the shipping with plenty of fragile, don’t stack or lay flat instructions on the box. When I opened the box there was no strong wood smell, just enough. The craftsmanship was impeccable, the size, weight were perfect if I want to move it to another location. I’m over pleased and so is my husband after he said. “$195.00 for a trash can”. Now he knows it’s much more. I highly recommend.

I hate putting furniture together. And so many reviews say pieces were missing or the screw holes weren't big enough. Well, the delivery fee for this fully assembled tilt out trash bin makes it so worth it. This is really nice and makes such a difference in a small NYC kitchen. It not only gives me extra work space on top, but it disguises the trash can and has an extra drawer too! I'm very happy with this.

I was so excited to get this piece. I am a bit disappointed. It's nice and functional. But, it's unfinished - dull and flat, not intricate and pretty; it doesn't look like the picture. It needs to be stained. Because it's not "finished", I am concerned about putting stuff on top of it- I was hoping to use it as extra counter space. I will have to cover the top with something or it will not last long in a kitchen. Know before you buy - There are no pre-drilled holes for the hardware (knobs.). So you need to drill your own holes to put in the knobs. It comes with white hardware, which looks cheesey and does't match the black hinges. I will have to get black knobs (like it shows in the picture!).It was expensive, especially with the shipping. For the money, I wasn't expecting to have stain and drill. But what really upsets me, is that it has a really horrible, toxic smell that stinks and lingers. I am very concerned it won't go away. I wish this piece was fully dried or sealed properly before it was shipped to me.

I love it. Perfect size. Beautifully made, it did smell of staining but the smell was not bothersome and did not last long at all. Exactly what I was hoping for!

We received this earlier than what was expected. We loved it at first sight. I do not like a hidden trash bin in a closet or an open bin in the kitchen. This was a little more than what I wanted to pay but it is well worth it. Good workmanship. We did put wheels on it so it can be put anywhere in the kitchen or other rooms. Would I buy it again, definitely.
