Good simple brace for medium support
I’ve been looking for a simple thumb brace that doesn’t cover my whole hand and wrist, and this is perfectly simple. The brace isn’t hard plastic- it’s got some flexibility to it. It holds the thumb in place by preventing movement up and down (vertically), which is the movement that causes me pain, but still allows for movement outwards and inwards (horizontally). The bottom part that touches the wrist is a little uncomfortable, but could be fixed by placing a folded tissue under the sleeve it comes with.Overall, It’s great for the ~$13 price. I didn’t realize I bought a medium, since I would usually opt for small, but the medium still fits well. Would recommend to someone looking for simple, medium level support of the base thumb joint. The top of the thumb joint is not supported though, and can still be bent.

Perfect for me
This is a nice brace and just what I need for work. I have trigger thumb and the bulky braces caused me to make typing errors. This is lightweight and breathable. One quick swipe with an antibacterial wipe and good to go. No Ned for constant washing.

Good for sweating/water
My trigger finger in my thumb came back recently so when I saw this product available to try I jumped at it because I know the only thing that resolves the pain is to immobilize the top joint. This does work relatively well. There is movement in the nylon support. It is not static and therefore, not as strong as "my favorite" thumb brace which uses a metal, less flexible support. I need as little movement of the top joint as possible and took off a star. This nylon brace has the extra advantage of being better in wet environments. My other brace gets sweaty (and stinky) because it is covered entirely in material that absorbs sweat. I love that this brace has minimal material that can hold on to sweat. As well it comes with 2 extra joint wraps and 1 extra wrist wrap so if it gets wet I can easily switch it out. It came with a sleeve for comfort but that has the same issue with sweat so I prefer not to wear it. I also found this less comfortable in the joint area than my other brace but still fine to wear. I will use this brace when I have concerns about wetness and my other when I need less movement. I would recommend this brace as it has benefits in certain situations. It is also much less noticeable to wear which is a nice bonus. Though I do not like that the logo is so noticeable.

Not bad at all
You get a nice, light weight brace in the package, that has a sleeve that I thought was no way am I going to fit into that, but surprisingly I actually did and some replacement straps which is great. Everything can be washed and can get wet which is great. This brace is very easy to use and put on by yourself. It takes no time at all and is easy to figure out. It is not a brace to support your wrist, but just to support your thumb really. It provides a good amount of support and allows you to still use your thumb to some degree. It does not feel bulky like some of the others can which is a big plus in my eyes. I also like that it is reversible, meaning you can use it either on the left or right hand really. The only reason I took a star of is that at the tip end of the thumb it is a bit uncomfortable. I am not sure how it could be improved, maybe add a little bit of padding right there or change the design and how it wraps right there, but I found myself a few times hurting when I involuntarily tried to move the thumb and found it restricted, as it should be, by the brace but because of the plastic it just hurt a bit. Other than that this really works quite well.

Medium Support, Different Type of Support
My housemate has a lot of issues with arthritis in his thumb, so I got this for him to try out. He says that it is a different type of support than the braces he has used before, and for some activities this works better for him. It allows for a limited amount of movement as opposed to none at all, so depending on the activity this could be beneficial. It seems to be comfortable on him as well, and he is able to wear it for long periods of time.

Thumbs up, literally!
This brace is really light weight, very adjustable and fits my size 7.5 hand well.I have some tendonitis, arthritis and occasional overextension injuries. and wearing this brace during the day at work helps limit excessive movement so my thumb and wrist may heal.Even though it has lots of velcro, it really does not catch on my delicate clothing at all. What's more, I like having the thin, stretchy skin-like material to wear underneath, and sometimes by itself, to give just a little joint support. For me personally, by the end of the workday, the far edge of the brace starts to make my thumb feel a bit irritated. That may not be the case for someone with bigger hands.A keeper!

Great for thumb but no wrist support
Mostly happy with this thumb supportive. It can be used on left or right hand. The thumb part is pretty comfortable which is a pleasant surprise as most wrist support guards I’ve tried have an awkwardly placed thumb slot. There are straps that then adjust around the thumb, hand and wrist. It was not too stiff and a good size for my small to medium sized hand. The elastic underneath is very comfortable. But -1. Offered very little support for carpel tunnel. The hard splints run along the thumb and not the wrist so my wrist wasn’t supported and so my carpel tunnel was triggered multiple times while wearing.2. The Velcro is very sharp.3. There is no protective layer to stop the straps from rubbing against the hand and wrist.

It could be perfect for you...
My wife was stricken with carpal tunnel syndrome after pregnancy and was looking for a buffer as we go about doing manual tasks. This brace seemed to hit her in the sweet spot and not a good way. Although it did not provide the relief she was after, it could be a great splint for thumb hyperextension or other ailments. The rubber is soft and allows flexibility, I think it makes sense - just didn't cut the mustard for carpal tunnel relief.
