Top-notch sharpening.
I ordered a Sorby ProEdge for our local Men's Shed and was so impressed with it that I bought in for myself.I am not good at free hand sharpening and I'm not prepared to grind away lots of expensive tool steel trying to master it at my time of life. The answer is a jig based system.Having tried wet and dry wheel grinding with various forms of jigs, I have to say that, for speed, simplicity of set-up together with consistency and quality of finish, the Sorby sharpener beats everything. It's perhaps a bit expensive but my time is more precious and this is quick and easy to use.Yandle's service was exemplary. Both machines were delivered to me in the Channel Islands within two working days from being ordered and with more than reasonable shipping costs.

Best tool sharpner on the market.
After doing a woodturning course in 2020, the Robert Sorby sharpener was recommended by the tutor. Bought this on his recommendation. All my woodturner tools were Bought used and well used and blunt. Soon as I set up this sharpener, it was straightforward and easy to us. Easy to change belts and this kit came with the two main jigs used for wood turning tools. I bought a third jig for sharpening my wood chisels and they are sharp has when I first got them now. Forget buying cheap alternative sharpener. This is the what you need to do the job properly.

Brilliant...
Brilliant is the only way to describe the Proedge. Already saved me loads of time and the consistency it enables me to achieve is great. It is expensive but my words you get what you pay for.

Sorby sharpening system
I looked at this machine and also the Axminster tools version. This was slightly dearer but I liked the easy method of selecting tool grinding angles. The deluxe comes with a gouge jig, but not the chisel and plane jig which I bought extra.The UK supplier was Yandle's in Somerset whom I have shopped with before and would recommend for their good service.
