Control Me (Corrupted Royals)

Age Gap Mafia Romance
This is a dark age gap, mafia romance featuring mafia princess Abigail Sartori and blood diamond king Nikolai Vetrov. Twenty-one year old Abbie was sent to St Monarch’s school for the criminal elite by her father for training before taking over his empire but Abbie, totally a girlie girl but definitely no shrinking violet, is completely out of her depth. She’s expected to be able to fight to the death but, despite the eighteen year age gap between them, is more interested in throwing herself at Nikolai, who is at the school as a temporary instructor at his godfather’s request. That is until something happens to Abbie that leaves her totally traumatised and a shadow of her former self just as Nikolai is ready to admit how he feels about her. There was a lot I loved about Control Me and some parts not so much. I loved how much of a smarta$$ Abbie was to Nikolai to the extent that at times he didn’t know how to handle her except to beat a hasty retreat but once he accepted his feelings for her he moved at warp speed but without putting undue pressure on her. He was sensitive to what she was going through and let her take things at her own pace. What I didn’t like was how quickly Abbie seemed to get over her ordeal. I would’ve liked a little more angst between them and, to me it would’ve been more believable if she’d had some sort of flashback when she and Nikolai started getting intimate again, instead of her having sex with him and suddenly being back to normal, ditching the baggy clothes for her usual sexy attire. I also loved the complete character reversal in Alek and how tender and considerate he was towards Abbie but I have been left intrigued to learn what secrets he’s hiding.

Brilliant book 2. MUST READ!!
This is the 2nd book in this series and its fantastic 5 star read all the way I loved it.Corrupted Royals is book 2 is a age gap, mafia romance book that has touch her and die vibes and protection/ possessive vibes that this series is awesome at. This is Nikolai and Abbis story and this will break your heart.Abbi knows she has to put up with this world because its how she was raised and she knows an arranged marriage is in her future, but this doesn't top her from being sexy and sassy as hell with Nikolai and pushing all his buttons.Nikolai is just filling in at the academy and knows it won't be long before he leaves only he was not expecting this woman to break down his walls completely. ( NO SPOILERS )I loved these characters like the others and I loved how much chemistry they had. This opposites attract romance was fantastic and I couldn't stop reading about these two. I loved how Nikolai would fight till the death for her to make her safe and at times these two pulled at my heart strings. This story flows throughout perfectly. This is an opposites attract, age gap, forbidden romance read that I highly recommend reading and I can't wait to read book 3 in this series because I'm totally gripped inside this world.Check the trigger warnings because there is some heavy topics.

An elite training centre for the rich, criminal world. They're there to learn how to defend themselves and learn the businesses they're eventually going to take over. Abbie loves to paint, but her parents think it's a 'useless hobby'. There's no love between her or her parents, her mother drinks, her father is only out to make money and looks at Abbie as an asset. Seeing an arranged marriage in her future she's out for fun, she's outgoing, fiesty, no filter.Realising that their fathers have thrown them in the deep end and left to drown, Abbie isn't accustomed to, but flirting with Nikolai Vetrov, her combat instructor is fun. Nikolai is cold, ruthless, wants to run the family business, but he's only helping out at St. Monarchs temporarily. But Abbie and her flirting is getting under his skin. He's impressed with her straightforward attitude, there's confidence there. But with there only being a new temporary truce between this Mafia family and the Bratva they're still enemies. When an incident happens it's Alek who finds Abbie, she makes him promise not to say anything to anyone. Nikolai notices the change in her, she no longer flirts, is training more. It's then he's starting to realise he's got feelings for her. Feelings that he thought he'd never have. She feels broken, empty, painting isn't helping. Talking with Nikolai helps, but only as friends. Will something develop between them?Just as Abbie's beginning to get back to normal, just as normal as it can get, her father takes her out of St. Monarchs. But why? Will Nikolai get to her in time? This was an emotional, fast paced read. Full of drama, angst and suspense.Alek is intriguing me more.
