Are the included screws cheap metal or good screws to use to make the product permanent?

The screws are not the best quality but if you take your time and put them in gently they should be fine

Is the double sided tape already attached to the magnet; or do you need to apply the tape onto the magnet?

I applied the tape to the magnet, and to make sure it would always be secure I put a couple of drops of industrial glue on it.
