Micro-USB SlimPort/MyDP to HDMI Male to Female Adapter with 6 Foot USB-Charging Cable & High Speed HDMI Cable

OK. First, this works great on my Nexus 5 with Android 5. No problems, right out of the box, bang. I didn't know about these adapters before buying this one. My carrier unlimited data plan means I can watch content as much as I want. I don't have a "normal" home network so this is a good thing. It also works great porting into my 24" computer monitor, and my phone works with my Apple wireless keyboard & mouse, I can now work full screen off my phone, nice. This also allows me to not USB "tether" my phone in an un-authorized manner that can create problems, ie, my carrier can shut me off if I abuse it, they seem to leave me alone if I go light on tethering.(Interestingly Google / Android updates above 4.4 "crippled" most tethering app functions, I used to be able to easily tether my Macs, PC's, Android tablet with wire or bluetooth, now I can only tether my PC via USB... but now Cast has kind of given back a lot of that capability and then some)I have also just sort of learned about Miracast, and my phone is Cast-ready. I thought "cast" was only about Chromecast (or similar) that need to work within your existing home network, but no, true Miracast is not network dependent, so I may try the Belkin or Asus adapter, hopefully the Belkin if Amazon would match the Microsoft store price of $39.99 currently on sale.This adapter may still be the better option, video is clean and smooth (the included instructions do mention that sometimes video can take a minute to "settle down" and run clear, and that does happen, and Amazon and Neflix do have video quality settings to adjust), Miracast users report several issues with various brands of adapters, and when you look at the list of what's out there, the Chromecast, Fire, Apple etc are mixed in with the true Miracast type, and they are very different.

I own an HP 11 Chromebook with SlimPort and a Nexus 4 with SlimPort, so this was exactly what I needed for screen mirroring on both my devices. It works some times with my HP 11 if you don't move it, after it cuts out though it does not come back without unplugging it and plugging it back in. This morning I was having trouble with my Chromecast, so I decided to try this device again and it couldn't mirror my Nexus 4 period. It would show up, turn to black and white fuzz, then a black screen. I'm trying to find the packaging now so I can return this piece of junk.Update: Not even an hour after posting this I was contacted by Cable Matters and offered a replacement. Hopefully the new one works, hopefully this was just a fluke and I can change my review. If nothing else their customer service is top notch, wow.2nd update: I received the replacement adapter and it works flawlessly. No noise, it stays connected when I move the phone around, from what I can tell it holds a decent charge. The thing is; it's a different adapter. It has an orange band around the slimport part, the charger plugs into the side, the cable feels less stiff and is a much higher quality. I don't know if they had a bad batch or not but they fixed it and it's working great.

I'm using this with my LG G2 Verizon phone. I opted for standard delivery & it arrived two days earlier than the first projected delivery date. I followed the directions in the box & I got my flatscreen hd tv to recognize the hdmi cable hooked to the device..but no input on the screen. So I unhooked the cables/turn off tv/phone & tried again..this time the tv didn't pick up my phone & I selected my other hdmi device..mistake b/c I couldn't get tv to recognize the hdmi connected to phone lol. So I unplugged again/turned off tv/phone & switched my hdmi cables connected to the tv..hdmi 1 switched to hdmi 2, and the cable that was in hdmi 2 was switched to hdmi 1. So now my tv is on the correct hdmi for the phone but it still no picture. I even tried going to Setting/Sharing networks & turned on MiraCast to see if it would find my tv or just plain work..nothing.So I started over again & noticed I had my phone charger plugged into the device, so I unplugged it & removed the slimport cable & put it back in..it went in a tad further than it did before & bingo, it worked! I saw my homescreen on the bigscreen lol. I feel stupid b/c it wasn't fully inserted all this time lol. Then I plugged the charger back in & everything's good to go. Make sure the slimport cable is fully inserted. BTW, I checked to see if MiraCast was still on in the settings & it wasn't..it's automatically turned off if you restart or turn off your phone. Hope this helps someone if you accidentally change the hdmi input & can't get it back or if you experience a similar problem.

Funktioniert mit dem BlackBerry Classig absolut hervorragend. Auch trotz regelmäßiger Nutzung kann ich keine Mängel erkennen. Das es bei einigen garnicht funktioniert liegt wohl daran, dass das Handy schlicht kein SlimPort unterstützt. Bildfehler konnte ich auch kein Entdecken.

BonjourCet adaptateur fonctionne parfaitement (image et son) : il est utilise sur une tablette LG PAD et l'appli MyCanal de CanalPlus mais également il fonctionne avec tout autre application de la tablette)

Non funziona con nexus 7 2a generazioneAppare per un'istante l'immagine e poi ... nero, nessun segnale!!Darei 5 stelle per la disponibilità da parte di Cable Matters e al servizio Amazon (prima di tutto), per questo acquisto esclusivamente con Prime.

This has been Fab! Somebody posted that it wasn't very robust and in fairness, if you are rough with it, which I was once, it will come apart BUT, it just clips back together! Well it did for me and it then continued to work fine and I treat it a bit more gently now. Would definitely recommend.

Pour: avec Nexus 5, format de sortie respecté, pas de chronologie de connections des divers câbles à respecter, lecture en streaming protégé par DRM (Amazon Prime) sans problèmes à l'opposé des adaptateurs MHL 2.0 (pour Samsung GALAXY Tab S) proposés par ce fabriquant qui présentent tous ces défauts.Absolument contre: très faible contraste (image délavée sur moniteur 27 pouces Full HD Iiyama), impossible à compenser par réglage manuel du contraste à 100% !!!
