New Balance Women's 1500 V5 Running Shoe

I love the 1500 line! Have had three of them (v1, 2, 5). I need stability, so was thrilled to find this option. They make an excellent racer and light-weight shoe for tempo runs. Last used for a half-marathon. I also enjoy using these retired kicks for lawn work and other things since they are so light!Pros:LightweightFastStabilityAllow you to feel the roadBreathableRoomy toe boxHeel holdCons:This is no longer an issue...but the tongue design on the v5 (possibly same as previous model) seemed stiff and bothered me at first. Would fold and cut into the top of my foot at the ankle. Perhaps just needed to break in or find a place slightly to the side, as I no longer notice it.Color options - Yes, these are racers so can expect bold coloring. However, I’m not a huge fan of white or really bright colors. More subtle color offerings would be great...as I like to wear them as a daily shoe sometimes (really like the purple and blues). I usually use a paint marker or sharpie to neutralize features, and change out strings as needed. On the purple v5’s changed the white accents to black.

Super lightweight for warm weather. Perfect for Hawaii, I don’t need to wear with a sock. Wraps around foot almost like a sock, perfect fit. I feel some arch support which is good for flat feet but Not so much ankle support. This is a wonderful thin shoe. Very cute on foot. Has a dainty feel to it. I wear a size 7 this is a 7w. I have very narrow feet so others suggested to go up a half size maybe good. They didn’t need to call this a wide size at all. Very narrow feel to it.

Unfortunately this was a return. I had thought the New Balance 1500 would be my go to running shoes. I had the V2 and V3 and they were perfect. Unfortunately, the V5 now has a narrower toe box so even though I got the wide width it was still too tight. Also not a big fan of the new color scheme. Too much white for my liking. I'm now mourning the loss of my favorite running shoes. Back to ASICS for me.

New Balance was always the brand that fit- now not so much. Sadly, I think that their manufacturing has been moved to another country. Their Wide is now more like a standard size B.I have many pairs of 1500 V4's and they fit as if they were made expressly for me! These 1500 V5's fit completely differently, and not in a good way. The styling is not as important, but that is lacking as well. The LARGE NB logo smeared across the toe box looks tacky.

This fun spring purple just pops on the road! I have worn New Balance 1500's for the past few years and I love the lightweight support they provide for my ankles and knees. The fabric is breathable and very soft. I need light stability, and these shoes are perfect! I like that this series runs a little narrower than most running shoes, so I don't have to lace them so tightly!

I have wide feet and the 7.5 wide fit comfortably! I will be using these for the gym. I’ve been wearing them around my house and they feel great. I’ll update this review if I find they aren’t comfortable at the gym. I love the color and design, very eye catching! The laces are flat and the tongue is attached, so it won’t shift during wear. So far, I’m really pleased with my purchase! See photos.

These shoes were bought due to having runners knee and tearing my meniscus. After surgery I was told I'd need a good shoe to wear for Overpronation. These have worked so far and have been extremely comfortable.They are true to size and lightweight
