Jane Iredale, Enlighten Plus Under-Eye Concealer with SPF 30, No. 2, 6 ml

Never got to try it as ball on top did not carry eye cream onto the skin. Very disappointing product

I am not sure if I have EVER given a product just 1 star before, but I REALLY disliked this! I had never tried any products by Jane Iredale before; I thought it was an upscale brand, so I was expecting a high quality product. This concealer looks different from other concealers, and it has a fancy applicator - but that applicator was not at all user-friendly. You have to press down on the applicator in order to get the product to dispense, but the applicator is way too stiff and hard to do this against your face, so instead, you have to use your finger, which is awkward. The consistency is like a very thick, heavy foundation, not at all like a typical concealer. I got shade #2, which should have worked perfectly with my medium skin tone, but it was way too yellow. The product didn't blend well, although I tried to buff it in. What made me toss this right in the trash was looking and my eyes at the end of the day and finding that the concealer had gotten all dried out and cracked under my eyes - this has NEVER happened to me before! I added some pictures, but unfortunately they do not capture how truly bad this product was for me. I would not recommend it.

This concealer gets a big no from me. Its consistency is thick and pasty. It is difficult to work it onto my skin. It goes on cakey and settles into my fine lines amplifying them in the process. It makes my skin feel and look dryer than it is. The applicator makes it difficult to dispense the right amount of product, which leads to waste. It also doesn’t work for applying and smoothing the product as shown on the pictures in the listing because the texture is so thick and pasty that it would require stronger rubbing motion to get it to smooth out and that’s a no-no for the delicate skin around the eyes.Two stars because it didn’t cause any skin irritations or breakouts and I like that it has SPF 30 but I can’t recommend it due to its poor performance.
