Promethea: Book 2 Paperback – 23 May 2006

Amazing graphics and story line in this "Promethea" series. I wanted the 3 volume hard cover version of "Absolute Promethea". Volumes 2 and 3 were not difficult to find in the oversize version which is well worth the money. I couldn't find volume 1 though so I got it in trade paperback edition, not so good and split into 2 volumes called book one and two. Comparing the 2 versions the Absolute series comes in a stunning slip cover, the art and graphics are top quality and it's a joy to hold and read. If you can, do save up for the Absolute Editions. However if you just want to read agreat story and don't mind he book quality get these trade paperbacks.

Not quite as irresistible as some of Moore's other work, as it talks a lot about about mysticism, but it has some great storytelling. The characters are engaging and the art is spectacular.

Arrived with one corner of the cover completely ripped off. Maybe from a label being clumsily removed? Was listed as new. No damage on the inner pages so wont cause an issue when reading, but very annoying.

I enjoyed book one immensely. I enjoyed book two even more. It's a blend of comic book story telling & revelation. I can see no comparison. Moore, Williams & Gray have created a work of art that is alive and bursting with creativity.I'm sure others have mentioned, the final chapter in this edition is powerful stuff. Once more, you're left with this strange feeling that somehow you're becoming one with the story.
