UPDATE: Amico reached out to me after my review and offered a free refund. I told them I would much rather have the lights if they wouldn't fall apart and they told me they fixed the issue and so they sent me some replacement lights. They've been working great so far and I feel like they are definitely put together better than my first box, so I would assume any purchases made on these now should have the updated version. I'm leaving my old review below just for reference. DO NOT BUY I bought these about a year ago and at first I really liked them. I installed 16 in my basement and for a couple months, I was really happy with them. The ability to turn them on, then off, then back on to dim them is great. But after a few months, the plastic pieces started falling from my ceiling. After a year, only 6 of the 16 still have the plastic piece still on them. It’s just a matter of time before they all fall off because the plastic they used is so brittle that the mounting points with the screw will just crumble. I was really excited about these and I hate to write a negative review, but unless my experience is an outlier, this will happen to you too. Even the ones that are still hanging on are slowly separating and I’m just waiting for them to fall. I’ll try to figure out a DIY fix for this but I shouldn’t have to.

We just purchased our first house and did not realize the only rooms that had ceiling lights were the kitchen and basement. My husband found these after searching home depot and lowes - which over priced and offered little per order. These were a great deal, happened to be on sale and great amount in each box. We put them in the living room, kitchen, my office, and our bedroom and our child's. They work wonderfully. The normal setting is bright, and the night version is perfect but we put all lights on dimmer switches because we all suffer from migraines and the dimmer addition makes the lights even better imo. They were easy to install-from my view as my brother in law and husband did them but I do know they have a setting option prior to placing into the ceiling. Since I work off 3 monitors 3 days a week for about 10 hours a day the night option with the dimmer switch works perfectly for me. Worth it for the money even when not on sale. Will consider purchasing more for the basement when we upgrade it. A must buy.

I decided to splurge and go with the night light wafers for my new ceiling lights instead of the basic ones. The driver boxes were great, and the included push in connectors were a huge bonus. HOWEVER, these do not include the necessary bushings where you put the high voltage lines into the driver box punch outs! Make sure to buy 3/8" push in strain relief bushings at your local hardware store. I had to take an unexpected trip. There is enough room to use 12/2. The lighting is great, and I put this on a Lutron dimmer and both night light and primary work great. If I have one complaint it seems like the timing device for the mode switch isn't perfect, and I can definitely see guests 'screwing it up' by waiting an extra few seconds or just not understanding what is going on, which probably means getting up to go fix it for the in-laws if they are trying to use the night light. The reset function works fine, and if you just wait two seconds you can switch modes reliably. Overall, for the price, fantastic. They look classy and simple, and the night lights seem pointless during the day except for a cool amber uplight, but they really work well at night. I will say that you need consistent ceilings to not notice marks or dings or anything on them with the night lights. You'll find out if you need to do touch ups real quick!

Like other reviews I had good luck with these lights that I got last year. Only recently installed and was amazed what an improvement they make for each room. The amount of light is very good in my opinion. Using Bestten dimmable switch. Update: 2024 purchased more 6" lights. Like others that mentioned the more recent version of lights are different than previous year. Seems like the pattern of LEDs with lights at lower amplitude are more evident, though the LEDs for the night lights are better. I'd reduced the number of stars from five to four. The electrical box is different. The connections to lights is different and the middle section of the LED light extends to 1/2" thick where the previous light seemed slimmer. Seems like it's a completely different model from previous year .... features are still the same.

Finally moved into the new custom home where these lights were installed. They are incredibly bright and the nightlight function is fantastic. They cost a fraction of the price of conventional recessed lights. We're hoping that they last. We ordered extras to have on hand in the case that there are premature failures.

UPDATE: The supplier reached out to discuss the issues we had with the lighting. Problems solved. The dimmer switch in the one room was not compatible with the lighting so be careful which switches you do use in LES dimming. The out of box failures were replaced with new lights and the one light that we struggled to switch to night light also replaced. GREAT customer service!!!! Thank you Full disclosure: I build homes. The night light concept is great, but there are some things to note. 1. The night light is still really bright and if you’re dimming, you can dim the lights down anyway. 2. They don’t always works. There are times where a room of four lights will only change over three and one will stay bright.. I found myself turning them on and off a dozen times before they would reset back to all lit. 3. Had two out of box failures out of 36 total purchased. 4. When on a dimmer and the switch is at full brightness, you do get alot of flicker. 5. The factory setting at 3500k is still super bright, but if you change it down to the next .. its goes really yellow. I have these installed in a new home now for just over a week .. will update with any other feedback
