After the horror stories cited in the reviews of the cheaper crank puller tools, I spent the extra few buck and got the Park Tool version. It worked great to pull the crank arm off my bike so I could replace the factory chainring with an Absolute Black oval ring. I inspected the threads on the puller and the threads in my crank spindle and all look unscathed. Super easy. Though I will say that it takes some force to get these off. Not the tool’s fault; that is a sign of good fitment and precisely machined parts. Could maybe be a dollar or two cheaper, but overall a quality tool.

Before buying this tool, I spent hours trying, in vain, to remove the crank arm from my bike with everything from a pully puller to a mallet and block of wood. I was basically in a pit of despair after my failure, but I figured I would buy this specialty tool and give it one more go before turning to a bike shop. Astonishingly, it not only did the job, but took less than a minute to do it! I will probably only ever use this tool a few times in my life, but the satisfaction of getting the job done was worth the price.

Great Value for money the fit was perfect and was essential to replacing my bottom bracket.

Great tool. But consider a more universal tool if you have multiple bikes. My wife's shimano crank used a slightly different head, so i had to buy another tool anyway. Both are great for what they do, the compact tool does require a socket wrench and set to use it. Park Tool Compact Crank Puller

I used this to remove the crank on my Bosch motor equipped Trek ebike. Bike tools can be very confusing as to what fits the various brands of components. I almost ordered a different Park crank puller until I read the reviews here on Amazon. Another user had bought the wrong version and mentioned it in his review. You have to look further down in the description to see that this one is the CCP-44 model for 3 piece splined cranks. If you get the proper model, this works great and is easy to use.

The delivery guys for my peloton did not install my right pedal correctly. They installed it into the crank at an angle so after time the pedal started to come out at a weird angle and it felt really strange and the threads were beyond repair. Peloton sent me a replacement crank so I bought this to remove the damaged one and it worked perfectly. I initially tried a universal crank puller but it didn't work, however this one was super easy to use.

R R Removed pedal from bike and installed sensor for conversion the electric bike. Worked great!

Needed a crank puller that could actually cope with the bigger pipe billet spindles and the Park Tool CCP-4.4 didn't dissapoint. Solid construction as you'd expect from Park Tool – feels proper heavy-duty in the hand and not like one of those cheap ones that feel like they're going to snap. Used it to remove a stubborn crankset that hadn’t been touched in years and it handled the job no problem at all. Threaded in smooth, good strong engagement, and the crank popped off with way less effort than I was expecting. Definately saved me a lot of swearing in the garage! The handle gives you loads of leverage too, which is brilliant when things are a bit seized up. Nice and comfy to grip even when you're putting some serious pressure on. Only minor gripe, would be nice if they included a little storage pouch or something, but that’s me being fussy really. The tool itself is absolutely spot on. Worth every penny if you're serious about maintaining your own bikes. Wouldn’t think twice about recommending it to anyone.

After buying the wrong one at a bike shop, I went with this one. With the lever this was so easy to use. I highly recommend it.
