Neptten Moss. Preserved Moss, Faux Moss for Potted Plants, Moss for Crafts, Green Moss for planters, DIY Projects & Ideas (Dark Green,3OZ)

I use this to make some cool greenery and landscapes for my minifig maps. My 40k landscapes have never looked better! The moss is easy to work with and extremely vibrant. It lasts a long time too. Only thing is to make sure to keep any sort of water away from the moss because it WILL make a mess because of the dye. All moss like this is dyed so this is common, but just a heads up.

Picked up the three ounce Preserved Moss, also available in one pound.This was also for the Dark Green, nature green and Chartreuse are the two other color options.The preserved moss is compact and as soon as you take out some pieces it springs to life.The pieces vary in size and have a sliced cut look.Once I took several pieces and bunched together, you don't notice the cut look.Very consistent color from the entire batch.Very little clean up after working with the moss.A reminder as this is no longer living moss.More for indoor decoration and especially for crafting.Took photos of the three items that I added the moss:Fake succulent, terrarium jar, and indoor plant.The indoor plant I left a small area around the plant with no moss (for watering) see photos.Overall.Very soft moss and good solid color.Hope this was helpful.

I've been making little dinosaur terrariums, and I thought this moss would be a good addition. It looks great and the amount is perfect for small projects. It's very bright green and glues well. I'm kind of confused because my package says "preserved moss," but the product description says "faux moss" and preserved real reindeer moss. I don't know what the stuff really is (it feels like dried natural moss). The product description also says in one spot to use it in potted plants, but in another spot not to get it wet. I can only tell you that it's working well in my terrariums and it looks real and vibrant in those.

Since the moss is preserved and not fresh, you do not need to water it. It is a bright green color that has not faded. It appears painted or dyed, but it still looks nice. I used this to dress up my indoor orchid plants and cover the wires to hold them to the stick. My first impression when I opened the package was a little disappointed, but after using it, that changed. I am happy with the moss and will continue to use it.

Firstly, the moss is a nice bright green color and they stuffed a lot of it in the box. It's very pretty and the mossy odor is not offensive. The reason I gave 3 stars is because the inside of the box was covered in greenish residue from the moss, and I can't tell if that's because it's a normal side effect of whatever preservation method was used or if it's some kind of mold. It doesn't smell bad so I am thinking it's harmless. I live in an arid state so I am just drying it out before using it in my crafty projects.
