Good microphone - Plug and play and hardy enough for teenage use
Yes - this microphone is good. Plug and play, well angled and doesnt take much space on the desk,Its used with my son;s gaming PC. Works well for Skype and videoing so far and replaces a cheaper one that quickly stopped responding and had to be returned. The cheaper one was from a brand Kinobo. This one much better and is recommended. Its my son who uses it - so we've had it quite a few months now and its been knocked around onto the carpet occasionally etc - so its hardy enough for older children to use. Hope this review is helpful x

Waste of Money
This microphone is next to useless. I use a mixture of Skype, Cisco IP phone, WebEx audio and GoTo Meeting audio - I found that friends, colleagues and customers all reported severe audio quality problems when I used this microphone - it was unusable. I had previously been using a headset with microphone boom, however a TMJD issue means that I am no longer able to wear a headset as it triggers discomfort for me. I have now found a digital microphone, more expensive, but the audio quality is great. Basically I think you get what you pay for and cheap in this case just does not work - do waste your money on this Plantronics Audio device, spend a bit more and get something with USB digital quality.

Excellent value desktop mic - Great quality sound
Brought this specifically to use with Skype and multi player gaming. The people I am talking to have told me my voice is crystal clear and loud. This microphone is great value based on their comments and mu usage. in daily use I keep the microphone plugged in but not switched on, tucked away behind my monitor. In use, I simply bring the microphone out and have it at the side of my monitor. I have a large 27 inch monitor and a large desk, so the microphone is probably about 2 feet away from my mouth, isn't obscuring my screen in any way, yet as mentioned above, am told my voide is crystal clear. My Tower PC is actually situated on top of my desk and the fan noise can sometimes get quite loud, but I specifically asked my frends if they could hear an y fan noise and all said "no" they couldn't. Highly recommended.

Ok, if you like having a mic ontop of your keyboard or mouse
Mic Build Quality:Pretty good i guess. Stands up, never have any issues with stability, comes with an additional stand with a double sided sticky pad on the back in case you want to stick it on a wall or somewhere not flat. You lower or raise the mic due to a hinge in the base. Nothing wrong with the wire. I have no real issues with build qualityMic audio Quality:Average, asked multiple people how it is, they said its not good, but not bad. So its functional for communication but nothing more really. Once again, I have no real issues with the quality here.Mic Sensitivity:Sensitivity is where i do have issues though. I took a chance hoping the sensitivity wasn't as bad as people were saying, but its pretty bad. I normally have my mic beside my monitor, and people cannot hear me. I have to move the mouse ON-TOP of my mouse mat, or keyboard, for them to hear me. I measured the best distance, at about 30-40cm, which for me sitting at a pretty standard desk is in top of my either my keyboard or mousemat. Even then i have to go into the "recording devices" menu and adjust the mics settings, this helps, but causes MASSIVE feedback above 35% volume, to the point where i have to slam either the sleep or mute button because my ears drums were about to burst.Roundup:I guess I've gotten used to moving it, and the quality isn't that bad. I didn't pay much so i wasn't expecting anything out of this world so its not worthy of anything <=4 stars, but its not a hopeless 2 stars. It does what its meant to, even if its maybe a little weak. I would consider getting a new mic in the future.

No complaints
Plugs in and works seamlessly with both Windows, OS X, and Linux (Ubuntu and Mint tested). It picks up voice from at least a few feet away and is very clear. Audio quality is more than acceptable for the price. Some people have said that even cheap desktop mics are better than a headset mic, I don't know if this is true but my experience has been a positive one.

No good for gaming
The quality of this mic is fine for the price, as long as you have it 10cm away from your mouth. So for Skype-ing family and such it'll be fine but not for gaming as it has to be right in front of you. This meant it partially blocked the monitor.

Great Microphone for the Price
Bought this microphone to Skype with friends while we play online games together. It serves this purpose perfectly, with decent sound quality and a good range (i.e. it picks my voice up from relatively far away). I did initially have a problem with the mic being quite quiet, but this was solved using the "Microphone Boost" option in the microphone properties in the Windows Control Panel. All-in-all, a fantastic microphone for the price.

Very clear sounding Microphone.
Pros: Excellent sound for VOIP such as Skype or Teamspeak with a mute switch which is very useful when gaming etcCons: This Mic claims to have noise supression but it does pick up keyboard key clicks quite easily, I found that the Agc enable/disable button is the same as Mic boost which in most cases must be checked for anyone to be able to hear you on voice applications.A bit fiddly with the monitor mount supplied, takes a bit to work out where to put it, as it seems to be designed for old fashioned CRT Monitors and not flat screen Monitors. However I used the base that it comes fitted to and it's OK.Quite heavy in fact so should not move too much on ones desktop.Summary: An excellent low cost Mic sound is great very clear indeed and believe me over the years I have tried many different Mics from expensive ones to ultra cheap, this is easily the best one so far.
