Blood Lad: The Complete Series [LIMITED EDITION Blu-ray DVD COMBO]

Love the anime and was happy with what I got with it

It came on time and un-damaged. (Always a must) The box has a nice hard cover and art on both sides. The DVD/Blu-ray and extra booklet slips out the side. The booklet is in full color and has a episode list, character profile list, a section on background art and a bonus manga in the back that's around the length of a single chapter in the Blood Lad manga series. The DVD and Blu-ray are in a standard Blu-ray box with a total of four discs. (2 Blu-ray and 2 DVD.) All and all it was a great by and a welcome part of my ever growing collection.)

The Good:Unwrapping the shrink wrap, I was ecstatic. The Limited Edition outer box is pristine, no damage whatsoever. It even includes a cool limited edition booklet with a manga ova chapter followed by some colored art, character profiles, episode synopses, and the Japanese & English cast and credits. I am a suckered for free bonus collectibles, especially L.E. manga! From Amazon receiving a L.E. Blu-Ray/ DVD collection with no visible damage is amazing! The fulfillment employee & delivery person did their job's amazingly 👏 I give them full marks!Anyone who has seen this series will love to add this to their collection. Even those who haven't will enjoy it. There are a lot of references to other anime / manga, i.e. some parody moments, that can be enjoyed by otaku veterans, even some mainstream or newcomer watchers will understand. This makes a cool addition to my collection and I would recommend this to any collector, or for someone looking for a neat present to give to a friend who is!The following part of the review DOES NOT reflect upon Amazon and their fulfillment but rather on the Manufacturer which should not have allowed this to pass QC.The Bad & The UglyUpon opening the Case I discovered the Blu-Ray disc 1 was loose and has a scratch on the outer most edge of the shiny side... I hate when that happens, honestly it comes down to luck. I don't really fault Amazon for it only because there's no damage to the actual L.E. box or case...That said the DVD disc 1 is scratched in 4 places including the inner ring, not the clear plastic part, but the shiny inner ring. They are good size scratches, I can only assume this happened before it was packaged and fault lies with the manufacturer, again not Amazon's fault... I don't plan on returning or replacing only because I mainly was wanting the Blu-Ray, the DVD was an added bonus for collection sake.You can see in my pictures, when I show the graphic side of DVD disc 1 followed by 3 pictures documenting the several scratches. The graphic sides of DVD disc 2 and Blu-Ray disc 1, followed by the scratch on the Blu-Ray disc 1. Now, even though there are scratches I haven't yet tried to see if they will play. I'm sure the Blu-Ray version will be fine since the only scratch is almost on the far outer edge of the shiny side of the disc.The Verdict:- Item itself 5/5- Amazon's fulfillment 5/5.- Manufacturer 3/5, DVD disc 1 should never have made it passed quality control. One small scratch is something that can be over looked, but three 2" long + scratches [one of them in a V] ontop of a small scratch is unacceptable for the original price of these types of items.All in all if I had to do it again, I would order this item through Amazon. Honestly I may have even replaced it but I believe this was the last of its ilk... This is too good of a buy / deal to reneg on when I'm sure they no longer are producing any new copies of this anime in this L.E. format. The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 star is ONLY because of the manufacturer's lax quality control for this specific single DVD disc 1.

I've never even heard of this anime before. I just bought it out of curiosity and now I love it. Thereneeds to be a season 2!!

the only reason i dont give this 5 stars is becouse it should have one episode more or a second seasonit is a great series about an anime / manga fan vampire that meet a Girl from the human world it migth sound stupid when i say it like that but the story is actually werry fun and i would recomand it. but if you want to understand manny of the jokes there i recomand you to see dragonball first for manny of the jockes is about that anime.but it is the end that dont make me want to give it 5 stars still it is worth the money and your time

Very nice

Perfect animation. Great fights, a few chuckles along the way, and me glued to my seat. Its a great series to have, but is way to short (10 episodes and an ova that is basically episode 11) and I challenge the statement of being a complete series when it ends on such a cliff hanger! There better me more!I am quench for now, but I still hunger!

Don't work I need region 2 and B not region 1 or A
