Revell 03984 P-47 M Thunderbolt 1:72 Scale Unbuilt/Unpainted Plastic Model Kit

First the good things, its cheap, easy to build and is very good fun to build. Now the bad things it's got a lot of flash, the box art has bombs as the external weapons where as when you build it it has rockets, the instructions and tooling are from the 1960s and the external tanks don't fit on the pylons for them. But overall it is a very good kit for this plane and would, and will buy again.

A great, well detailed kit that looks the part. Not much to say, maybe not as refined a fit as, say Tamiya, but all of the newer Revell kits go together well and are superb value. This kit has received loads of great reviews, lovely detail and looks accurate ( I'm not one to measure and inspect every detail) but it does look good when built. Apparently there a re loads of schemes available so you could spend months building 'Jugs'! Thoroughly recommended and a bargain at twice the price!

unbuilt yet but examined, lack of pilot and some flashing together with basic cockpit (a pilot would mask basic cockpit) means 4 stars, dry fitting showed some ninor fit issues not an issue on a sub £20 kit. i have seen far worse on an equivalent pricedkit. cockpit detail lack wont be too evident if kit is made canopy closed as slight glass distortion will hide much. decals are okay,typical of Revell.

Very good

First the negatives; There is a lot of flash on three out of the five sprues and it isn't all easy to remove, especially from the tail fillet and the engine cowling. There is quite a bit of mould release agent on the plastic so it will benefit from a good clean or the first coat of paint won't adhere very well. The belly tank and bombs seen on the box art aren't supplied - you get a set of eight rockets and two underwing tanks instead. Revell don't supply a pilot figure, which is all too common these days. It rather negates the (default) option of building the plane with the undercarriage raised so it can be displayed by hanging from the ceiling. Like almost every modern kit it doesn't have a stand or provision for one. The positives; the level of detail is good for the money. Straps are moulded into the seat. You get a choice of painting the raised dials on the instrument panel or using the supplied decal. Surface detail will look good under a couple of coats of thin paint. There is further detail in the wheel wells and the engine. The canopy hood that can be slid back and forth and is a reasonable facsimile of the real thing. I wouldn't have judged it quite so harshly if their Corsair hadn't been such a pleasing build.

Really enjoyed making this kit. Super cheap too. You don't get a pilot with Revell planes so just leave the cockpit open like its parked up on the runway. I got the propeller spinning almost perpetually! Great.

Started off with great apprehension but this model turned out to be quality. Not for beginners due to the flash but certainly for the more experienced modeller 😁

El modelo trae algunas rebabas, pero nada del otro mundo. Muy buenos detalles y paneles negativos! Lo único en lo que difiere de la imagen, es que trae bombas y el modelo no las trae. De ahí en fura todo muy bien. Excelente enbalaje

Bellissimo modellino dell'iconico Thunderbolt, ben dettagliato, facile da costruire e ad un prezzo ottimo; prevede due versioni disponibili tra cui scegliere, entrambe operative sul fronte europeo. Nel caso si scelga il "devastating deb", consiglio solo di fare attenzione ai colori proposti: seguendo pedestramente le istruzioni si otterrà un risultato giocattoloso tipo aereo di paperino con dei colori brillanti; meglio basarsi sull'illustrazione della scatola che è più allineata alle foto d'epoca. Buon divertimento!

キットそのものは約20年前のもので、全スケールを通じても数少ないM型のキットですが、金型が早くも老朽化したのかバリが多く、筋彫りも塗装で埋まりそうなくらい薄くなっています。 綺麗に作ろうとすれば、バリの処理や筋彫りの彫り直しなどの下ごしらえだけで、かなりの手間がかかります。 アクセサリーは165ガロン増槽と5inHVARロケット弾が付属しますが、パッケージアートに描かれている500ポンド爆弾は何故か付属しません。 マーキングはM型を唯一実戦で運用した56FG所属機二種が付属します。 出来は悪くないですが、キッチリ作るなら相応の手間を覚悟する必要があるキットです。

Excellent quality and very nice model details. Excelente calidad de material detalles del modelo excelentes, para los entendidos en Revell, saben a lo que me refiero.
