How long does it stay sticky / will it hold two things together?

Hi Its a temporary basting glue for fabric. This means it sticks but is repositionable...it would remain sticky for a while but not suitable for permanent adhesion

How to get the lid off the canister

There is a perforated paper wrapper round the can and lid. Grip the can in one hand and the lid in the other and turn in opposite directions. The perforation will break and the lid can be pulled off.

Do you have to quilt immediately after spraying or how long does it last?

I use it prior to pinning the layers together ,spraying just a small area in the middle, after finding the central spot of each layer ( fold twice and pin the point in the middle, then baste with contrasting thread),then the middle sides, when happy with all , I then go on spraying and smoothing down till I am satisfied, but I have relifted, the top layer many times and it is still tacky, then I pin it all, and roll it up till I am ready to quilt !! Oh gosh, you are talking to someone whos 'nose' does not work, however I have used it in short bursts in my craft room, and I did not react to the aerosol spray ,by coughing, due to having asthma. Sorry it is not a yes /no answer, but if I was going to use it for longer spraying time, I would open a window, just in case it started to irritate me !!
