I've plugged these in inside and run the wire through the window which still closes and locks OK - there's a few feet of flex before the lights start.Nice warm yellow / orangey light, and a decent length (the ones I bought this year were a bit shorter than last year's - I have both of these running). Last year's remote operates this year's lights, so nice to have a spare. The 100 LED set was about seven quid in the early Autumn, then the price doubled in December.Downside is the bulky plug, which wouldn't be much use in an outside plug socket. Poor instructions - you have to work out what the different light patterns are by trying each number - I've just left ours on as a constant light rather than some tacky flashing effect. And sometimes seems a bit tricky to get the remote to function (though it helps if you remember to aim it at the plug and not at lights themselves!) Having set the pattern you like, or set the lights as static, then the next time you switch them on it remembers your preference, which is neat. Also nice to be able to adjust the brightness, and dim them a bit.I've not tried the timer - apparently it puts the lights on for 6 hours then off for 18.

I bought a set last year and absolutely loved them so this year I thought I’d get another set. Annoyingly I was sent previously refunded lights that didn’t work. To run also had blue tack and long hairs stick on it. Not very pleasant at all. Gutted as it was the last one and I really wanted another set. So yes they are great. But annoyed that I was sent out a previously refunded set

Fantastic product - great features - a fraction of the price of the alternatives. Only one small gripe - the shape of the plug/transformer makes it impossible to fit safely outdoors (ie under IET regs). I think the image shows the problem pretty clearly: The transformer won't fit inside a standard weatherproof box - and even if you adapt the box, you need some kind of perspex/transparent cover (and I'm not convinced that the IR sensor for the remote would see through it)

Pleasantly surprised at how much I like these lights and think they are great for what I paid at £12.70. I have festooned our front hedge with them and they look good - bright and cheerful. There are various light modes you can choose, depending on how much you like your neighbours. We happen to like ours so I have the lights on a gentle wave but you could have them going like the clappers and annoy everybody. The remote is dinky and works through the window. Not sure the little control box thing in the lead should be protected from the elements or not but I have wrapped it up and sheltered it anyhow. Would be better if this was not so close to the end of the lights so you can properly protect it. Good lights though.

This product is super good! Because the first one performed so well, We purchased a second. They have a long lead and the lights are bright- they look fab- both as an external festive decoration and to hang up on summer nights. Whilst I would give a perfect score you should note that the first purchase had a separate connection box ( presumably where the different light sequence combinations are sorted) this is a bit annoying as I worried about it getting wet) the second one ( same supplier) came with this connector as part of the plug- this is a much better option in my opinion and much easier to work with in terms of weather protection.With that exception these were good value

The remote worked once, i think, then not again which is not very good for someone who needs the remote. Bought because the remote was a big benefit for me, as lights are out in the bad weather (winter).At the moment while a lot of isolating and non mixing because of Covid, anything that avoids going out is good.Great shame about remote. Anybody else found it not working or is it just mine?
