There's a choice of 42 all different shades, with probably more dark colours than pastels on balance, so it's unlikely you couldn't find one to match near enough to your fabric. The case opens like a book with 7x3 spools on either side, which are snugly arranged in foam so they don't move or fall out. They are then covered with another thin protective layer of foam. The thread is my favourite make for my machine as it's very good quality and doesn't snap easily. I can even fit a few small bobbins between the spools so I can keep the matching loaded bobbin with the thread. It seemed a bit expensive but works out much cheaper than buying all the spools individually, and, although you might like to buy the exact colour as you need it, it saves you having to make a visit to a haberdasher whenever you need a new colour, which has been brilliant during lockdown. This is an ideal present for any sewer and I'm sure it will be very well-received. It is so practical and useful but beautifully presented at the same time. Gutermann sew all thread is my go to thread and cant be beaten for quality. This set gives me such a fantastic selection of colours to choose from and all stored so neatly. I just love it.
