Great woodturning projects and really informative photos to talk you through the stages. Not for the beginner. I’m on my third project already!

I have seen Nick Agar work on several occasions. He has inspired me to try different wood turning and finishing techniques. He has a wonderful knowledge of his craft and is a good teacher. This book was purchased as a gift for someone who is also a great fan of Nick's and who enjoys woodturning.

Bought this book for my Dad, he said it is very good and has the things in he wants to make. So very happy thanks.

I was looking to take my skills to a new level and move into a different market. I saw this book whilst on a course with Andrew Hall and after a quick scan knew this was the way to go.

Yet another great read from that most imaginative of woodturners - Dave Springett and master of colour Nick Agar. In "Evolution", Dave has once again produced a book that contains designs that evoke curiosity, doubt, admiration and a raft of responses that all share the theme: "Turned on a lathe - no way !" ...

Nice book, good photos

really cool book with really neat ideas. David springett is one of the most creative woodturners I can think of. I love his books and this one is no exception. I really got this to figure out the process, which is very neat-but simple enough to replicate. Once you figure out how to do one, the rest of the book is a bit repetitive, but it is still fun to read and get some inspiration.

Ein Buch mit sehr vielen Anregungen, die als etwas verrsierter Handwerker sehr gut umzusetzen sind. Auch wenn einzelne Stücke Fantasie und Kreativität erfordern:-)

This is a really interesting book. However, many of the projects are a re-hash of the first few projects ... sort of like a "variation on a theme" ... but once you understand how to do the first few, the rest are reduntant. But, all in all, its a nice addition to a woodturner's library.

Technically challenging projects but none of the projects are very useful.
