So well made and the variety of switches etc keeps him entertained quite awhile. The size is perfect for traveling. Great purchase for us.

It’s great quality but way smaller than I imagined. I need to start paying attention to dimensions because I expected this to be a lot bigger than it is, especially as a busy board geard towards kids. They have small hands and not great fine motor skills - the tiny buttons, keys etc. I’m glad I had a double coupon cause I would return it had I paid the full price. It’s made well, don’t get me wrong but very small (like a little bigger than the largest iPhone) so not what I was expecting at all but that’s my fault for not paying extra attention.

This works with two AAA batteries (not included) that are inserted in the front by removing two screws. You must turn the key on before anything else will work. The key is a little tough to get inserted (like a lot of keys are) but once it's in there it doesn't fall out. Even if it would fall out it is attached to the wood toy using a ribbon so it won't get lost. Once you turn the key, all of the other switches will work. The key is connected to a yellow light which will remain on. Flipping or turning the other five switches will turn on the colored light nearest the switch. The blue knob turns on a light and makes it brighter or dimmer as you turn it. When the kids are done playing with it, you just need to turn the key and all lights will go out. This toy works great, it's built solidly and should last a long time.It was a lot smaller than I expected. The only mention of the size is in the product description halfway down the page where they say it's 6.3 x 3.8 x 2.2 inches but it's not. Actual measurements are 5" x 3.375 x 2", see my included pic.

*** Updated July 4, 2023) *** The product isn't particularly durable. We've treated it like any other of my daughter's baby toys and it's started to get flaky after 6 months. The hot glue securing the battery holder has failed, the RCA connector is falling apart, and the key's electrical connection is intermittent, causing the lights to blink and pulse. I've removed one star. *** End of Update ***This review is for the POLKRANE Busy Board featuring wooden construction and colored LED lights controlled by various switches, a knob, and a key. The key doubles as a master switch, so you don't have to put everything in the "off" position before putting the toy away. It runs on two AAA batteries, and like most gadgets for children, you'll need a screwdriver to access the battery compartment. I tested the product using rechargeable Eneloop batteries and am happy to report that it works as expected.I look forward to introducing this to my daughter when she's a little older. At seven months old, she's noticeably curious about the various wall switches, control panels, and remote controls around the house. I like how this toy can help her develop fine motor skills as she learns to manipulate different mechanisms. However, instead of having two rocker switches (red and green), I think it would have been better if one of them was a latching push button switch. I'm happy with the product overall, and I especially appreciate how it doesn't make noise!

This is a fun game for toddlers.In fact, I also found it engaging.Its engaging and educative for the baby.It would make a wonderful and unique gift

I thought this would be kind of cool for my kids to play with. The lights and switches looked like they would be entertaining. And they are! I thought they would lose interest in this after not too long but they seem to keep picking this up and playing with it. Using the switches and plugs to turn on and off lights. They are having fun with it for sure. The plug in wire did break though. It’s kind of fragile, and my 2 year old broke it when she pulled on the wire the wrong way. Not sure if it’s cheap materials or just my 2 year old being a 2 year old. Either way, fun toy for the babies! 4 stars due to the wire breaking.. otherwise it would have been 5.

This is not a bad toy board for little kids. I'm speaking it from an engineer's standpoint. Though I completely understand how it works and what each of the lighting switch/plug-in means in a circuitry; I doubt any little toddler will be able to catch the the implications like we do. However, my 2.5 year-old can already get a kick out of this by watching what he does to get all the different lights to light up. I don't know what the amusement is in his doing, but he seems to get overly excited on every light up. Furthermore, I can't believe this thing kept him busy in the car the whole time he's in the car.Other thing about this board, it seems to be pretty rugged and durably designed. Everything is buttoned down and seems to be pretty sturdy. The battery cover is secured by two screws. Though it'll be a pain in the butt to change out the batteries, but I think before this set of batteries die out, he should already out-grow this toy already. Anyway, overall, I'm satisfied with this toy board.
