This is the best cd player I've owned and I've paid up to $2500 for one. It seems to get better every week in sound. Being 32 bit, it more completely extracts CD info for a very present and detailed sound. I should say I'm feeding it with an expensive interconnect and power cord. Also, it reads some disks that my previous player couldn't. IMO, it's audiophile CD player in its price range. It's heavy and built like a tank. Is likely the last CD player I will ever buy.

The unit works well. Very quiet. My only concern is all the hype about SACD. I have an audiophile rated system. Everything sounds good on it. Does the SACD format shine through over the red book CD format! No. I suppose it might if you listened in surround sound but that’s not the way I listen to music.
