liked the construction, looks tough. could have been better if the latch is way lower as it hitting the thumb when striking

I bought this expecting something rock-solid, like a Pelican case for a Zippo lighter insert, but instead, this so called "Hard-shell case" is nowhere as solid and is made with some loose tolerances.The design is really cool, but the build quality is mediocre. While it's supposed to be sealed to reduce evaporation, it has a noticeably large gab between the cap and the body of the case, with or without an insert. The case has a surprising amount of flex, and the colored plastic insert fits loosely in the outer plastic "EXOSKELETON" of the case.At an MSRP of $35 USD for just the case, I was certainly expecting better quality. In fact, I paid close to $40 USD delivered!

This case arrived well packaged in its own box, its lightweight & functions perfectly. I put the Zippo Arc Lighter in it, its rechargeable and great for camping or other 'Last of Us' scenarios where you may need to have a fire. As a bonus it also carries a small piece of cotton tinder in the lower case. High Quality & Made in the USA. Highly Recommend!

The good: definitely helps make the lighter more visible (FDE & Orange) and the lanyard hole is a great way to keep some extra tinder on hand.The bad: the fuel still evaporates pretty quickly

I owned several of the original versions for camping and other outdoor activities. I recently purchased my second PyroVault 2.0 and it is absolutely amazing. The butane lighter insert way outshines the traditional fuel insert. I have had butane in mine for upwards of 8 weeks with no issues. The fit and finish is great with a good seal on the gasket. The orange color sides make it easy to find in a pack or bag. Excellent execution. I use mine regularly for starting my wood stove, outside fire pit and the occasional cigar. It has worked every time. Great work Thyrm team!
