The first thing my hubby said when he saw this candle flickering in our living room was that it looked real. I was pleased with that comment and I agree. Its as real as you can get without a real flame which just wouldn't be safe with my 2 cats about (inquisitive - `ooh what's that flame, lets put a paw in it to see' etc.) Its a lot bigger in real life than I imagined in my head. Its pretty huge! and it is made of real wax. Not beeswax though, just normal candle wax but it looks and feels pretty good ☺ I've been using it for a few days now and no problems at all. The timers work, you can set it for 4 hours or 8 hours and after the time you choose has passed, it turns itself off. The remote control is perfect, covering turning on and off and also the 4 hour and 8 hour timers and a nice addition is the choice between `light' and `flickering' of the candle flame. Both are pretty and very effective. I had to put in 3 x AAA batteries when it arrived as it comes without batteries for the candle installed. However, it does come with the battery installed in the remote control unit. It comes delightfully boxed and this would be a perfect gift this coming festive season for a friend or family member, I am sure they will be delighted if they love candles as I do, but don't like the dangers associated with real flame candles. Realistic, huge, works perfectly and with a remote control. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend this LED real wax candle.

These are big, with the look and feel of real candles. But that's it. The light emitted from these is simply terrible, plus the "flickering" is almost just a bright/dim effect and looks nothing like a flickering candle. To be honest, the pictures seem pretty misleading with regard to light output.

Great candles, I bought 2 and they both work of one remote. These are really big and make a great impact. Quite realistic, I'm much happier leaving these on than lighting a real candle and having the wax drip all over the slate hearth.

It is a good looking candle & very realistic. However, the remote control doesnt work even after replacing the battery which is very disappointing. Have asked the company for a replacement control because it is not cost effective to return the whole item. Let's see what their customer service is like.

Light was a bit dim sometimes didn't know if it was on or off. Remote control is good as the are placed out of reach. A bit more light and they would be perfect

Very natural looking when lit or not. Not inexpensive but worth the cost compared to some of the ugly tat available. But do remove baths when not using otherwise they drain away. Great where you need a large candle
