EVEN MORE GRIPPING
So many millions dead. The vaccine created on US destroyer Nathan James literally a lifesaver, its distribution worldwide. Suddenly reports that in some countries it no longer seems to be working. Can China's President Peng be contaminating supplies - practising genocide on his enemies? Chandler and crew may well be facing their greatest challenge of all....Action this time round centres on Asia and, alarmingly, somewhere far closer to home. Danger abounds. Fans will frequently be cheering the triumphs, mourning those lost, gasping at shocks totally out of the blue.Arguably this is the best season so far, with revealing delving into the motives of the main people concerned. Of special interest is a leading rebel Takehaya - he extremely well acted and that storyline developing in a way totally unexpected.Thirteen episodes, useful backgrounds to every one. Some may find the thirty minute feature on the US Navy somewhat self-glorifying, but it contains much of interest. The navy offers total cooperation with the series, it an excellent advertisement for what it does (including humanitarian work in times of disaster). Naval advisers ensure the portrayal of routine on board is authentic. The only departure from reality is how Chandler so often leads his men onshore, such missions all very gung-ho. In real life a Captain is expected to stay with his ship.Fans will be delighted Chandler and key crew are so often elsewhere - cue for fierce fighting, dramatic rescues, stunning special effects.Yes indeed, there is much to please here.

Great series that continues a good story
Great series and great price for Season 3 box set . The story continues as we get to see what happened in other parts of the world but also not all is going well back home . Should also see another short lived series Eric Dane stared in called the Fixer Looking forward to Season 4 as how season 3 ended

Highly addictive series
It is widely accepted that sequels often lose the momentum and excitement of the original production.This certainly does not apply to ‘The last ship’.Once again the outstanding screen presence, Eric Dane, is blessed with a talented supporting cast to help him deliver a visually stunning, totally new gripping story penned by very slick writers.A ‘must have’ addition to your DVD collection.
