Pengiun Talking Clock

This little clock is small and cute but has plenty of alarm sounds to choose from (cuckoo, cockerel, beeps, tunes) and is loud enough to wake me up and I'm a heavy sleeper. I love it too because I can just hit the hat when it's dark and it will tell me the time. Batteries did not come with it, 2 AAA needed. Setting it up would have been difficult without instructions so I include my version below.TO SET TIME: press 'mode' button once, then press left wing to increase hour and right wing to increase minutes.TO SET ALARM: press 'mode' button three times then press left left wing to increase hour and right wing to increase minutes.TO CHOOSE ALARM SOUND: cycle through the alarms sounds by pressing left wingWHEN ALARM SOUNDS... to put it in sleep mode press the hat, to turn the alarm off immediately press the left wing.TO TURN ALARM OFF TOTALLY ( so it doesn't sound every day) cycle through the alarm sounds by pressing the left wing until you hear one that is a tiny beep sound.TO TURN ALARM ON AGAIN after inactivating alarm totally,to activate again press the left wing to select the sound you want.

Fantastic product for the price. Love that it actually tells the time out loud as i searched so long for one that does. Haven't figured out how to stop the alarm without putting it into sleep mode and going off again a minute or so later. Maybe it is a setting or maybe it is just not possible.My kids wish one of the alarm sounds was a penguin sound but not sure what that sounds like! Or they wish that it looked like one of the alarm sounds it makes.For the price you can't expect better but if there was a more expensive deluxe model i would love a light option and a weekend alarm option

This is so small it's adorable, and so ugly it's ghastly! It is my favourite alarm clock already, easy to set up, easy to set the alarm by clicking his wings, easily tells the time by tapping his head. Mozart is turning in his grave at that rendition of 'Alla Turca', I think the other tunes are 'Spectacular and Can Can" from Moulin Rouge, and a horrifically catchy version of Pachbels Canon. Thankfully you can also have a cuckoo or a Cockerel. The voice is an America woman. Buy it if you want a quirky and functional talking clock.

I HAVE HAD A TALKING ALARM CLOCK FOR MANY YEARS, AND HAVE ALWAYS FOUND IT TO BE A GOOD TIME KEEPER.UNFORTUNATELYTHE DISPLAY HAS FADED. NOW IS THE TIME FOR A REPLACEMENT. THE PENGUIN IS A GREAT IDEA AND I HAVE FOUND OUT ABOUT ITS MANY FEATURES. YOU CAN CHANGE THE ALARM EFFECT TO PLAY A TUNE OR JUST HAVE THE COCKLE DOODLE DO EFFECT. AS I AMSOMEONE GETTING ON IN YEARS, I HAVE FOUND THE CLOCK AMMUZING AND FUNNY. THE CLOCK ARRIVED FROM AMAZON WELL PACKED, AND ALL I HAD TO DO WAS ADD THE BATTERY. YES I WOULD RECOMEND THIS ITEM AS A GOOD BUY FOR PRICE.

I'm no fool and am quite good at working out how things work, but this had me totally flummoxed. I finally managed to set the time and alarm, but when it comes to turning the alarm off, or back on again, it would be easier to complete the crystal maze. It's now sitting in a cupboard.It also came with no instructions so I had to google it to learn out how to do it in the first place.

The media could not be loaded.  I wanted something fun to remind Mum to take her meds every hour, this is perfect. And very reasonably priced. It was a little confusing as to how to set it initially but not bad and now he just gets on with it! Highly recommend

I bought this as a token X'mas gift for a friend's 90 year old mom who has poor vision. She seemed pleased with the fun gift, playing with the penguin after opening the package, even though I'm not 100% sure how useful the item will be - she is foreign, and time told by penguin was not exactly very clear :))) If you are looking for a truly useful item, this may not be it - but it is still an adorable penguin. Mine did not come with batteries, so I gifted the item with a pack of batteries. Instructions were relatively easy - I made sure it worked before gifting it.

I bought this for my Grandmother, her eyesight has severely deteriorated over the last couple of years to the point where she could no longer make out large clocks. I came across this item and ordered one to see if it would be any use. Well, my Grandmother now has three of them, one in each room and she is so glad that she can now know what time it is just by pressing the 'hat' of the clock. Unfortunately the 'wings' of the clock act as buttons for changing settings so some care is required not to press and hold them in. The voice is American which can be annoying. She also has it setup so that it automatically 'talks' the time at the start of every hour. The design is not the best but for the price I think it is hard pushed to find similar item. This certainly keeps my Grandmother closer to sane, I could only image how frustrating it would be not knowing the time of day...

My old basic talking clock died finally after too many drops. I love my new clock, cute voice lets me know what time it is when I wake up in the morning

Niedlicher Pinguinwecker, leider defekt geliefert. Fehler sofort nach Rücksendung an den Hersteller behoben, aber mühsamer Rückversand. Alarmton ist etwas anstrengend und das Display nur in englischer Zeitangabe. Eher billige Bauweise. Absolut nicht bruchsicher. Eher nicht sehr ratsam.

Arrived very fast and easy to set up. Wish there was a night light but 5yo adores it!
