Q: Our driveway is inclined at a 15 degree angle. Won't this device point up to the ceiling making it useless?

It is always better if the driveway would be on the same plane as the garage. Howeve, It doesn't make a lot of difference until your vehicle enters the garage at which point the car will be approx 18-20 feet from the back of the garage ...where the Guidepath is posted. No doubt the laser beam will not lie on the Guidepath at that instant but somewhere else on the back wall. That is the point where you will easily turn your wheel to get the beam onto the Guidepath and then straight in to your perfect parking spot. Hope that helps.

Q: How does backing out of garage work?

If you parked straight in, and in the proper position side to side and front to back, the laser light will be in the middle of the yellow track and on the dot at the bottom of the track (see picture of guide that hangs on the wall in front of you in your garage). Then as you back out, you keep the light in the "track" on the guide. If you start to go crooked the light goes out of the track and you can immediately adjust your path accurately so the light stays in the track of the guide, insuring you back straight out and don't hit side mirrors. I bought this for my 85 year old mother for her new home after she hit the side mirror as she backed out of the new garage. It only took a couple practice sessions and this solved the problem of her not backing straight out and hitting the side mirror. No more broken mirrors!!
