Excellent versatile light wand – similar to the idea of a lume cube, but better.
The media could not be loaded. This is an excellent alternative to more expensive brand named portable lighting fixtures. This light wand provides just as much light as other lighting fixtures, however, it is more versatile in the sense that it can change color over a full R-G-B spectrum, and also has built-in preset modes that include different types of fades and flashing. It may seem confusing at first, but really there are only four buttons to work with, and they’re very easy to understand once you read the directions. The up/down buttons are to change brightness or color, whereas the power button can turn the device on and off (with a long press) or it can change between editing brightness or editing color (with one short press). The M button stands for mode, and changes between the three modes: RGB color spectrum, different temperatures of white, and the preset flashing/fading modes. In addition to this versatility, there is a built in magnet on the top, bottom, and side so you can mount it to anything magnetic. I have found this especially helpful because sometimes, having to screw a lighting fixture onto a tripod and taking it off can be very time-consuming in the grand scheme of photography/videography life. Sometimes, having the opportunity to get the perfect shot only comes once, and time can be of the essence in these moments. Because of the convenience, and the versatility, I highly recommend this product.Video included to show how the item works. Photos also included to show some of the different colors.Hoping this review was a helpful review for you!

Good but Useless
This is the exact same microlight that you can find from other sellers. They’re usually sold in two packs for $38 and this one ends up being $18 for one. I mean this is the exact same thing. Though it doesn’t have a sticker on the side with the brand name.As with the other ones I had a very hard time finding a use for this light even though it’s well-made. And I will give kudos to this company for providing pictures that more accurately show the size of this light which is 4 inches. It’s a little bit small to really provide any significant lighting for photos or videos. It can possibly function as a fill light but that’s about it.Now I will say again the the light is very well-made and has a good battery life. They are magnetic so they stick together and they stick to other objects. They put out quite a bit of light for their size for sure. But if you’re using them for anything more than an accent light you’re probably going to need at least 4 of these. What I don’t necessarily see is much practical use to a light this small. It might be able to be a fill light for a WebCam. It is small and convenient and easy to carry. And I guess it’s bright enough for its size. But for the money you can actually buy real lights if you were trying to do a lighting set up for video. They have the usual suspects in terms of program defects in the “effects settings” which I’m really starting to get weary of. Most of them don’t look very natural at all. The TV one looks pretty good though it starts off really slow. I guess because it’s not natural to begin with so the “cop car“ and the other light effects that are designed to resemble man-made lighting are OK I guess. I laughed and they called it a cop car instead of a police car.. And you could do some mischief with that one as these things are definitely bright enough. But natural effects like fire and lightning really do not look all that natural. For me that seems like an answer in the search of a problem. I suspect that the company just felt like they needed to get into the micro-light game which is a shame because those things aren’t very useful to be honest. No I will say that this one is much cheaper than most of the micro lights and has better build quality. It doesn’t come with a case which I feel like something this small could really use because you need to protect them. They have screens that can be scratched.I mean quality wise these things are definitely five-star. Usefulness wise they are less but I wouldn’t buy them again which brings them down to the three star category. But be mindful if you have a specific use case for these and they are excellently made. They have a little Oled read out on the back that is easy to read and easy to use with simple buttons that are well-made. Never underestimate the value of a quality switch. These buttons are good. I’m really torn again because it just doesn’t seem fair to give something this well-made only three stars. I usually take a star off for something that should come with a case but does not. However, you can buy these with confidence if you have a use for them. And I would love to know if anybody has a use for these.

Excellent light for quick video and photo shoots. Versatile mounting options.

Be sure to watch my video in this review for more details and demonstration.Fantastic RGB light for quick 'run & gun' video and photo shoots!I love the little LCD display on the back that tells you what Kelvin temperature you're at and what brightness level as well. It also tells you battery level when it's charging and when it's not on charge. The Kelvin range is really wide, all the way from 2500K to 8500K. There's also a "Cop Car" setting to give you flashing red and blue lights for those times you need the back drop scene to look like a cop car is on site. There's a 1/4 inch mount on each end of the light. It also has a magnetic backing that will allow you to magnetically mount it to metal objects like a refrigerator, etc for those times when you don't have a light stand and just need to stick the light somewhere quick.Overall I think it's a fantastic RGB light for portable use in small areas.

Tiny yet powerful
I was quite surprised by how bright this little wand is. It's not powerful enough to light a scene, but definitely powerful enough for accent work, product photography/videography, and to be a scene fixture itself! I can imagine getting a few of these and putting them on a shelf behind me for a YouTube video. Great light, great price!
